My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Monaco for our one year anniversary. There were champagne and rose petals to greet us when we entered the room! It was wonderful! The room was immaculately clean and very spacious. Every member of the staff we encountered was friendly and helpful. The wine hour was a nice touch, and it was fun...

After a short trip on the train from Seattle, the hotel was easily located in down town Portland. I had 3 nights at Hotel Monaco...wish it was longer. We were on an upper floor and the room was huge...separate living room. I like how the different Kimpton properties are individual and quirky. Can see that its not to everyone's taste....

This place shows that personality is the most important amenity as hotel can have. The rooms are decorated with tasteful but wacky furniture and from the moment you arrive you can't help but feel welcome. Who wouldn't feel welcome with free wine from 5 to 6pm. Guests can bring their pets to this hotel but if like me you are...

This was our second stay, the first was in January, and we had a great time in the least hospitable weather of the year. Looked forward to returning in the summer and taking advantage of the free bikes available. Still have that to look forward to (another trip!). We had a suite that accommodated four of us, my husband and...

On our last night of a week long drive through picturesque Oregon we spent the night at the Hotel Monaco in downtown Portland. I had done my research and really drifted back and forth between The Nines and the Monaco--- Both hotels are located just outside of what Portland calls The Pearl---a revamped downtown section now catering to shopping and...

Great location, it is a pet friendly. If you are not a dog person, do not stay here. There were a lot pet owners with their pets staying in this hotel. It is a good 4 star. Staff were not very friendly. Conceirge was very helpful though.

The hotel is fantastic. It embodies the "sense of Portland" in the fact they welcomed dogs, served up local brews and wine at happy hour, gave hybrid cars a discount in the garage, provided bikes to loan, and had friendly staff. The quality of our room was top notch and very quiet. The location could not be beat, a short...

Hubby and I stayed here for couple of days. This place is very centrally located. We walked to all the places in the downtown area and also drove out couple of times. The staff are really friendly and very helpful. The only issue was we had to pay for our parking which is pretty high.
