This Courtyard is conveniently located in the downtown core and close to many landmarks, restaurant and bars. The front lobby is located on the first floor and there are elevators to take you to your rooms. The Hotel has Valet parking which is speedy and efficient or you can risk public parking near the hotel. Checking in was quick and I got my rooms keys fairly quickly. The rooms are on the smaller size, so look for suites if you need space. The room was clean, the bathroom spotless and bed was very comfortable. The wifi in the room worked very well. I did find the area where the desk is to be cramped as it is squeezed right up beside the dresser and TV stand. The fitness center was quite large and had enough equipment to get in a good workout. It was not busy at any of the times I used it. I did not use any of the food services offered at the hotel as I was out most of the day and dined out for all of my meals. Overall a great stay in a conveniently located hotel, and priced as most downtown hotels are. I had no issues with staff, guests or any of the hotel amenities.

The hotel is good, as described and close from the city center, restaurants and other attractions. The room was clean and quiet, the bed was confortable. The problems are with the breakfast wich was realy good but the personal was really slow, we wait 45 minutes to be served and there was not much than 10 other people. The second problem is the fee of

Stayed here for 4 nights. Easy to get to from PDX via the Max/Tram. Due to rail upgrade a shuttle bus is used for the early part of the journey from the airport. Get the green line when you get of the bus and you will only be 100 yards from the hotel - cost $2.50. We choose this hotel because of its central location for things we wanted to do. Reception staff are excellent and very helpful with things to do and restaurant recommendations. Our room was typical for the Courtyard - had a great bed and bathroom was also good. Had hotel breakfast one morning and it was what you would expect - well cooked. Eating out - would recommend any of the following - Lechon, Grassa and Thai Peacock. All within a short walk and very enjoyable. The above are all positives. The one major downside is that sadly Portland has a challenge with a huge number of homeless people. Unfortunately, they populate the streets all around downtown. Although we never felt unsafe you cannot be unaware of their presence. This is not the forum to discuss such major issues and although very sympathetic it would be remiss of me not to mention this issue.

Stayed here just for one night to attend a concert at the Roseland Theater. Great location for this venue. Although I wouldn't feel super safe alone at night downtown, we had no issues walking back to the hotel after the show (was just two of us girls around 11pm). It is so close to the venue. Staff were friendly and were able to accommodate an early check-in for us at no extra charge. Room was clean and beds were comfy. Had coffee/tea in the room. I feel the parking is too expensive but we used it out of convenience and security. $48USD a night is rather steep (especially for us Canadians who pay almost another 40% on the exchange). If I travel to attend this venue for another show I would definitely consider staying here again.

Excellent service throughout the stay; very accomodative staff. Location is superb as it it located between 2 Max lines. My room and hallway spotlessly clean. The room was remarkably quiet for a central city hotel. I happened to use Amtrak this trip; Union Station is only 2 short stops from the hotel. Solid 5 stars; this is now my clear lodging choice in central Portland

I led a group of 45 people on a tour of the Electric Railroaders' Association. Yumiko Johnson who heads in-hotel experiences did an outstanding job of hosting us and addressing a few minor startup issues. We had an evening meeting one night and a banquet the second night. Their meeting room and catering services were beyond comparison and equivalent to a 5-star hotel with 3/4-star prices. Detailed comments are below. This hotel is outstanding in handling small to medium size groups such as ours. We rarely book the same hotel twice with this one being a significant exception. Nearby activities The hotel is right across the street from the rooftop iconic Portland City Grill, near the cozy Grits 'n Gravy Restaurant, a short walk to Jake's Famous Crawfish and a short walk to Portland's famous Downtown Food Truck Square. Walkability The hotel is right in the middle of Downtown Portland, with light rail within a two minute walk so access to the entire metro area. Easy walk to all downtown activities. Food & drinks There is an in-house restaurant with an excellent breakfast menu and a more basic dinner menu. There were initial problems with timely breakfast service but once informed, the restaurant was staffed up and service was fine.

Compared to other hotels in Portland, the Courtyard is in a meh location. That part of downtown feels pretty unsafe and the room was dated and stuffy, with only a tiny window. You can get so much more for your money and stay somewhere that's more interesting. It's not far to walk to most things but it feels like you are on the edge of town, and not a great edge. It would be nice if they offered more amenities than water in the lobby.

Booked this hotel since it looked central to the areas we wanted to visit on our Portland trip. It was a quick walk from the Max light rail (we took this from the airport) but the area is filled with many unhoused. For some this might be uncomfortable but we did not encounter any issues. Location wise we were able to catch public transportation easily and we walked everywhere downtown without it ever feeling too far from the hotel. Service at the hotel was nice, nothing above and beyond but people were polite. The room was dated and smelled heavily of air freshener, almost as if they were trying to cover a smell. Other than those things the room was clean and comfortable so we cannot complain.

Some friends and I stayed at the Courtyard City Centre for one night for a quick basketball trip. The hotel is definitely in the city centre, and all that brings with it in Portland. For good and bad. Portland is a city in a free fall decline, which is sad. 20 minute walk to Moda arena, and MAX line is right outside hotel. The hotel itself is clean, accessible, and the staff are great. Shoutout to Alexander who checked us in. Very quick checkin in the small lobby, took care of my titanium bonvoy gift and got us in our room quickly. The rooms are a good size, and were clean. The room is a bit dark as it only has a small window, albeit with a great room. The room did have a funky smell to it, which was a bit off. One towel had a weird stain, and the towels were a bit mismatched. It would have been nice if the restaurant opened a bit earlier, as we had an early flight and had to leave just before it opened at 7. All in all a decent experience, especially at the great price point I found, which made it easy to overlook the flaws. Pros - great staff, clean room, nice view Cons - area of Portland, some minor house keeping issues. 3.5/5

Warm rooms with comfy beds. I stayed in a double queen room with a connecting King bed room. Had a good experience during my stay! Check in was a breeze, there’s a laundry room so we did our laundry at this stop. However, the dryer was pretty lousy and we had to wait for a good 2 hours just for our load to dry. I also didn’t like the fact that there isn’t any kettle provided in room. Had to go to level 3 gym to get hot water.
