Terrific hotel. Large rooms, well staffed, solid free breakfast, and great location - cross from World Foods market - excellent resource and Trattoria Gallo Nero, superb Italian food. Close to Powells and so many other places. Also has an in-house restaurant - open till 10. Take the parking option.

Hotel's Favourite
This was our first time staying at a Hampton Inn and Suites hotel and we loved it!! We changed hotels at the last minute, shifting from a downtown Portland hotel, and we are so glad that we did. Clean, quiet, safe, comfortable and modern with very friendly staff, a welcoming lobby, and super comfortable beds! The hotel is in the Pearl district, a very walkable area of Portland surrounded by restaurants, shops and breweries. The hotel has a 24 hr coffee bar in the lobby, a daily breakfast buffet with plenty of breakfast options and really excellent food! If you can’t stay for breakfast, just grab a complimentary breakfast bag on your way out. Plus you will find a pool, gym and an amazing rooftop deck (BYOB) on the 8th floor with tables and lounge chairs - a perfect oasis! Hampton Inn and Suites - our new favourite hotel chain!

Gravesgoneagain, Thank you so much for your review and for painting a picture for our future guest. I love hearing that you LOVED our property. We aren't your typical Hampton Inn & Suites and so glad you changed hotels the last minute and booked with us. Can't wait to see you again in the near future.

My review suddenly disappeared. Did I post wrong? Did I not click submit? No! The property and General Manager that I called out for various things during our stay, deleted it. Another Hilton property in the Portland area knew this is something they did. This review will get deleted I'm sure. Don't stay here. Racism and dishonesty are not something this town tolerates. Nor should they. Looking forward to seeing this review up for only 6 hours maximum!!!!!!!!!

Best thing about the hotel is the dining area for breakfast. It’s huge! No problem getting a table even with a lot of people at breakfast. The room and bathroom were also quite large. The location is very good too. A few blocks from the Amtrak station where I came in and a few blocks from the light rail. I do like that the elevator is only accessible with a key card. Downsides were the automatic light in the bathroom. I couldn’t figure out how to disable it. Fine for during the day, but I prefer not to be blinded at night going to the bathroom. Also there was a very weird smell on the floor and in the room. No clue what it was, but very strong. All that being said, I’d still stay here again.

after a week's vacation with another starting we needed to do laundry and chose this hotel because it had that it provided washers and dryers. So glad we did - everything and everyone was wonderful from the service to security to breakfast to cleanliness - the whole 9 yards!

Stayed here on our last night of vacation in Oregon. It was wonderful. We stay at a lot of Hilton Properties for business and personal trips. This was one of the nicest! Super clean. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Loved the decor. Rooftop patio was a bonus. Hotel was also very convenient to restaurants and shops. Portland’s Pearl District is a much nicer area of the city and if visiting would highly recommend.

Just 6 years old, seems brand new. In excellent location within walking distance of nice shops and groceries (Whole Foods & World Market). Staff well trained and helpful throughout hotel. Larger gym than usual. Enjoyed rooftop deck equipped with plenty of tables and several comfortable couches. Parking expensive (valet - $24/day) but there’s a close-by lot for $12/day.

I was attending an event at the Oregon Convention center, but hotels near it were expensive. This hotel is in a good location, close to Trimet train and Union station, only three stops away. Tip - use the stops south of the hotel (6th&Davis, 5th&Couch) as the ones closer to Union Station are in the "tent city" part of Portland and may make some people nervous. Of course if you are using Amtrak then yes use these stations. I checked in online in the morning, and got notification at 12:30PM that my room was ready which was good because I had taken Amtrak in and was carrying my backpack around the Convention center. I headed in, expecting to use my digital key but key card was required in the elevator and digital was not working so I went to the desk and got a key card, which I used from then on. I find this happens regularly at Hilton hotels so it's not a knock. My room was clean, had a fridge but no safe. There was a large shower, and efficient A/C. The king bed was comfortable, and not saggy. Staff was uniformly pleasant. Breakfast was of good quality and variety, and there was plenty of seating. The pool rarely had anyone in it, but I didn't have time to check it out.

We stayed 5 nights. Nice hotel in great location. Easy access to TriMet transit system, a few blocks away. Rooms were a bit small for 3 adults. Bathroom was excellent with lots of counter space. It has a bar/ restaurant (Tanners) attached. This hotel attracts a lot of families with small children, probably due to the breakfast buffet (some of the main courses change and ground floor pool just off the lobby. There is a lovely roof top patio on the 8th (top) floor. Buy yourself some beer and munchies from the grocery store across the street on Everett and go up at night and enjoy the view of the Portland skyline.
