This bartender is easily the best, RJ!!!. His humor and his sense of taste is beyond. I asked for his recommendations and he did a great job. Thank you! The best drink is his infused strawberry vodka and cucumber blend.
I booked the Hampton for one night's stay before embarking on a week-long road trip through Oregon. I noted in the reservation that this was a birthday trip so they upgraded my room and even offered me a complimentary beer upon check-in! The staff was very friendly and offered great restaurant recommendations nearby. The room was very clean with a comfy bed. The hotel also has a really nice terrace where you can BYOB, eat or just hang out and enjoy the weather. Luckily, there is also a small grocery store across the street that also has a coffee shop inside so we were able to pick up road trip snacks and drinks. The coffee was also a bit better than the coffee served during Hampton's free breakfast. After the road trip, we stayed at a more upscale hotel in Chinatown before making our way to Washington but I wish we would have picked the Hampton for that stay as well. Although Portland is struggling with a homeless problem right now, the Pearl District is a better area than Chinatown. Plus, the Hampton was cheaper and had so many dining options within walking distance. It also would have been nice to spend more time on the terrace.…
This was my first time staying in the Pearl District. This hotel is a great location for restaurants, shopping in the Pearl all very walkable and you can catch the trolley to other neighborhoods easily. This hotel is stylish with a great staff, pool, complimentary breakfast and incredible rooftop patio. I would defnitely recommend and stay here again.
I spend 100 nights per year in just Hilton brands alone. I'm middle aged and not high maintenance. Additionally due to my industry/company I've been required to travel during the entire COVID nightmare. I totally understand the challenges and changes the pandemic brought to hotels and have a great deal of respect for the hospitality industry as a whole. This is my 4th time being a guest at this property and honestly there are no major issues. In general property, guest rooms, staff and location are all great! This is more a full-service hotel and a considerable step above your typical Hampton Inn format/experience. A few minor irritates: No shampoo in my room or at front desk. Was told they ran out? No loaner guest umbrellas. Was told they ran out? Limited breakfast hours and no to-go bagged breakfasts on the weekends? Regards to homeless/transient problem that plagues Portland. It's considerably better/cleaner around the hotel and Pearl district than just a year ago. I have no issues walking around by myself or concern about parking my car on the surrounding streets (except some park blocks are still dicey).…
I recently stayed at this location for a business trip. The hotel, staff and amenities all exceeded my expectations. The rooms were very comfortable, the free breakfast was the best I've had and the staff were all extremely professional and helpful. I'll be staying here again on my next trip to Portland!
This Hampton is stunning. Valet parking is $46 but worth it as the public parking isn't secure. Excellent location to powells, billy galaxy, floating world comics, Deschutes, 10 barrel, and back woods breweries and more. We walked all over and it was perfect. King bed was awesome. Bathroom was clean and plenty large enough. Breakfast was short times, which we skipped, but it all looked great. 10/10 would stay again!!
Good value and newer hotel. Fairly well-done breakfast buffet. Rooftop is great. Cannot blame hotel for the homeless situation which they handle well....................................................
A lovely hotel, close to everything. Free breakfast with a huge selection of choices. Very helpful and welcoming reception staff. We declined room service because I sanitized my room but we got everything we needed from the housekeeping.
This hotel sets the standard for perfection in the hotel industry! All of its personnel were excellent at their jobs! The indoor spaces were incredibly attractive, and the roof top deck gave spectacular views of Portland! In summary, the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at, and I travel a lot! Bravo!!
Neighborhood was a little iffy. Everyone was helpful and available. It was clean and welcoming. No housekeeping except when asked. Expensive parking but car was safe. Thomas gave info on gf places to go. Breakfast always had 1 option for gf.
