I stayed recently to explore Portland and this hotel is in a very central location, close to many shops and the small breweries / restaurants and also the train station (if taking Amtrak Cascades). Rooms are well appointed and modern and very quiet (though the lift bell is loud if you were by the lifts). Spacious and with everything you need including a cooling draw for drinks, and coffee machines etc. I had a small issue on checkin but that was my travel agents issue not the hotel, but nevertheless the hotel sorted it very efficiently for me. Nice bar area, and breakfast was very good and staff very attentive, although there are many options for eating in the area. There was a good gym at the top of the hotel. I would certainly recommend this hotel if in the city. Nice rooftop view of the city too.…

This hotel is centrally located within walking distances to many restaurants, shopping and sights. There is a parking lot directly across from the hotel, which is cheaper than the $49 charged by the hotel. We stayed at this hotel as part of a large wedding group and I can honestly state that the staff at this hotel are the best we have encountered in a long time. Sage, Sam, Neko and Justice on the front desk were truly amazing and helpful and in the restaurant Sam, Michael,Chuck, Ashi and Wes were exceptional and really went out of their way to make us comfortable.

We are Hilton Honors members and were disappointed. It started with our arrival at the hotel and the valet just stood there while we removed our luggage. He just stood there and offered NO help whatsoever. We had the same experience when we checked out. The room was ok, but the rug was dirty and worn. Way overdue for a replacement. On a positive note, however - the location of this hotel was great. Easy walking distance to some nice restaurants. And the bartender - Chuck was great. He was very friendly and made you feel at home.

Had a delayed flight and called ahead to let them know. I tried to check in at 3 am. It took 45 minutes before I could get a key for a room. That was the last thing i wanted to deal with. I had to recheck in the next morning and the manager was not very sympathetic to my complaint. Not 4 star service.

Modern, efficient, developed with comfort in mind. Clean lines, comfortable beds, great coffee bar, small fridge and a wonderful luggage table. Both suitcases fit on this shelf. with available hanging . Very well designed. Reminds one of the Lark in Bozeman. Great bar lobby. Both spacious and cozy. Wonderful reception.

Really enjoyed my stay here. Rooms were spacious and clean. Beds are comfy. Staff was friendly and attentive. I wish that breakfast was included with the room-or at least coffee. The food I did have was very good. Talked with the chef and bartender and they are cool. Fun neighborhood to stay at for a long weekend.

This is a very good place to stay when you are in Portland. One can complain that it is 15 minutes from art museum or South Park seafood (my favorite restaurant) but I found the 15 minute walk very refreshing. All the staff in reception are very friendly. Sage is a fantastic employee. The best I have found in all Hilton hotels I have stayed at so far. The gym is a little small but adequate. Will stay again.

We just stayed 2 nights at the Canopy and we really loved it. The rooms are well appointed and actually have ample space!! There was counter space and drawers in the bathroom and lots of drawers in the room itself too. The bed was also insanely comfortable. We were in a room that was directly across from the elevator so I was worried about noise but we were never bothered by sounds from the hallway. There is a sliding door in the room that provides an extra layer of noise dampening which was a great touch. The toiletries had this citrusy scent that both my husband and I loved. On our last day we went up to the rooftop to take in the impressive view. The location is also really good. We were walking distance to Powell’s, shopping, some great restaurants, coffee shops and bars. I felt safe walking on the streets in the Pearl District area. There’s a lot of talk of the grittiness of Portland streets but I didn’t see anything that would be out of place in any major urban centre.
