The Crystal Hotel is perfectly located in the Pearl District of downtown Portland. It's right across the street from Jake's Famous Crawfish which is across from Ruby Jewel ice cream and so many more places to eat drink and shop. Love the whole place.

Great location. The hotel is cozy and the staff are polite and friendly. The hotel theme is song lyrics so each floor and room is decorated in decor of a song. Live music downstairs in the pub. Walking distance to the Crystal Ball room. The best is the soaking tub! Parking is available on the street or there is a...

Had a generally great 6 nights @ the Crystal in October. The location on the edge of the Pearl district is within an easy walk of the breweries, restaurants & clubs in that area and northwest Portland & downtown are also both right around the corner. Whole Foods across the street is useful for grabbing quick stuff and the streetcar...

Hello Mike W., Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback of our property. Since your stay, we've learned that the rooms in the back halls are protected by a fire wall, and we'd been unable to get wireless access into that area, but that has been corrected. We now have wifi access in that area. Nonetheless,...

We spent a terrific evening at the Zeus Cafe in the hotel, enjoyed a very interesting room, and brunch before shopping in the Pearl. This is an interesting older hotel that has been brought up to date in a very creative way. Thoroughly enjoyed our trip to the Crystal Hotel.

This hotel is awesome. It has tons of character. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Sure, most of the rooms share bathrooms, but it wasn't even an inconvenience with so many on each floor and always immaculately clean. Each hotel room is unique, as is the whole place, really. It's in the middle of downtown and so within...

This place is very quirky in a good way. As soon as you enter you get this old school vibe to everything. Even the lifts and doors are creaky in a good way. The only bad thing is that the room has no en-suite that's the only reason I took 1 star off. Other than that definitely consider staying here...

Hi Abhipb, Thank you for your review! We appreciate you taking the time, and for staying with us. In case you weren't aware, the hotel does offer rooms with private en suite bathrooms. There are only 9 of these rooms on property, and they sell pretty quickly. But be sure to reserve one of them on your next visit. We'll...

We only stayed here one night but I hope to stay here again in the future. It is important to know that the bathrooms are communal, but I never had any issue accessing one and they were all very clean. The rooms are themed by songs. The decor is so much fun. I was very impressed with the people at...

TremontRaven, Thank you! That was a very nice review! I love that the hotel desk staff impressed you. It's service standard that is constantly nurtured, and often not recognized, so thank you! I'll be sure to pass this on to the staff. We hope you'll get a chance to come back and visit with us, we appreciate your time.

Hotel is an older style but with modern fixtures inside. Has shared bathrooms- but there are a few on each floor so never had to wait and found they were always clean no matter what time I used them. Staff were friendly and helpful with advice etc. Location is easy walk to main city areas and plenty of eating places...

The rooms are old and interesting. The entire place is incredibly clean. The people are friendly. The soaking pool is a wonderful refuge from the city noise. And, best of all, this hotel is a very short walk to Powell's. It was noisy the first night (street work and early dumpster service), but I settled in and it seemed to...

Yes, and yes you are right... it is loud downtown, and the earplugs are a nice courtesy, because of it. Thank you for your review, and for taking the time to give us feedback. Enjoyed this hotel. It was a Portland experience. Clean ( very important). Shared bathroom was fine. Never had to wait. Staff were super. Beds were "ok". Soaking pool was clean and nice. Our Thanksgiving dinner was delicious. Chef and staff did a wonderful meal. Truly appreciate the McMenamin values and preservation of history in the Pacific NW. Thank you.
