The Paramount Portland has been my place to stay by choice three times so far, only in town for 1 - 2 weeks at a time due to business and everything from the entrance, security, cleanliness, the fitness center and just the plain ambiance projecting a higher class business focused setup, is very appreciated.

This was a very nice hotel. Comfortable beds, mostly pleasant staff and very convenient location. Many reviewers write about the expensive parking ($55/night w/no self park option). Literally 171 ft past the hotel on the same side of the street is Southpark Garage. Pull in, they park it for you and get it when you need it in 2-3 minutes… for $20/night (includes In/Out privileges)… it took about $10-15 minutes using the hotel valet. I would have given this hotel a 5 for the price/value/location, but at check-in, our travel agency had authorized the stay with a credit card, but hadn’t completed the paperwork correctly to pay for the room and the hotel check-in representative had to charge my card until it could get settled the next day. That was no big deal, however, he was a bit rude about it and over emphatic that it was our fault and not the hotel. A bit off-putting after a long day of travel. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.…

Manager Michael was extraordinarily pleasant and helpful during check in and check out, and the desk clerk on during check in (sorry, did not catch his name) was very helpful with restaurant suggestions, and he (and the other staff) always greeted us as we were coming and going when he was on throughout our stay. The room was beautiful and spotlessly clean, and it's conveniently located within walking distance of restaurants, shopping and multiple transit options. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Portland. `

Most staff at the reception, but there were 1 or 2 that have been impatient ,if not almost rude towards us, because we didn’t understand them . Language problem. Breakfast was not only Not included, but for the price we expected better. Not even a Cappuccino.

Amazing boutique type hotel. Great customer service. Great location. Great restaurants on site and around in the area. Pearl District and other great areas to visit are nearby. A great home base for a visit to Portland. ONLY “glitch” is the $55 per night parking.

Nice hotel. They have a restaurant and cool bar which is convenient. We Ubered or walked everywhere from this location. Seafood Restaurant around the corner is wonderful and highly recommended. Staff at hotel was wonderful. Room was comfortable, we had the park view balcony room.

I was so pleasantly surprised at how beautiful this hotel and rooms are. The bed was extremely comfortable, the pillows were perfect. The bathroom was beautiful and the shower was great. I just wish the parking was easier and included in website map.

Fantastic hotel, downtown. Centrally located, many shops and restaurants within short walking distance. Tram station is just around the corner (2 min. walk). Supermarket Safeway is about 8 mins walk and a good bakery is also nearby (about 8 mins walk). Staff at reception very friendly and helpful.

Spent two nights in Portland on our way back to Canada from our trip to southern Oregon. This is my second stay at The Paramount and I chose the hotel based on my experience nine years ago. The room was extremely comfortable and as a bonus had a in room safe. Everything was meticulously cleaned and couldn’t find anything wrong room wise. Centrally located in Portland, everything was within walking distance. What was noteworthy was how friendly and helpful all the hotel staff were from the front desk to the valet. The only fly in the ointment for my stay was my room wasn’t made up when I returned at 1500 hrs despite leaving at 1000 hrs. In the end, it’s not a big deal but worth noting. Valet parking is available for about $ 55 a night. So, if you’re driving into town just be aware of it. In all, I once again enjoyed my stay and would come back again.…

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel because of its great location, restaurant and bar and friendly staff. Not far from Old Town, the courthouse, and the farmers market makes it easy to explore the area by foot. The front desk provided great ideas on neighbourhoods to explore and where to avoid. All in all a great experience.
