The bar had happy hour and they served dinner as well as appetizers. The bar personnel waited on you and were very polite and helpful by described the drinks Location is great street cars, buses all near by. I enjoyed hanging out in the courtyard. the pool was a bit chilly. Rooms are large with a full kitchen overall nice stay

I am impressed with the Portland Residence Inn Downtown/Pearl. This is our first time visit to the city and have no idea of the areas to stay. We stayed for 4 nights. The location is an excellent and safe area. The room amenities are top-notch and include Fridge, microwave, and mini kitchenette. Clean room and comfy bedding. The breakfast serves lots of amazing choices. The staff is friendly and helpful. I will definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family. Thanks

This place was amazing! Great location with affordable parking ($12/nt) just down the street. Rooms were clean with housekeeping actually visiting daily. But breakfast was the real star. Gluten free waffles AND gluten free muffins- I ate them every morning and have never been so happy at a Marriott! Plus all the usual hot eggs, meat, greek yogurt, granola bar, juice and more. We are platinum and residence inn is our preferred brand, but this was the best one ever. Front desk staff was nice as well, but Wanda at breakfast was the nicest of the entire staff, even giving out little toys to all the kids- our daughter loved her!

Room Tip: Maybe ask for a room not facing the railroad tracks. We were awoken by railroad noise at 5AM...

I recently had a three-night stay at this establishment. Unfortunately, my room was situated adjacent to a rather loud elevator, which significantly disrupted my sleep. I was assured that I would be relocated for the final night of my stay, but this change never materialized. Additionally, I was promised compensation in the form of points, but despite following up several weeks post-visit, these points were never awarded. Love those Gold Elite perks!

We look specifically for multi-room suites when we travel (2 adults with 3 kids) and this residence inn delivered! Good size room with updated furnishings and a nice open feel. The valet parking option was new to us and possibly unnecessary if you could find street parking nearby (or self park in the deck) but we had enough going on so we opted in. The free breakfast was busy but they had a great variety with new food coming out often. Didn't explore any other parts of the hotel although they appeared to have a nice large outdoor space.

We recently stayed at this hotel for three nights and had an excellent stay! The staff were so nice! Literally everyone I came across greeted us, it was like cruise ship service:) We had a small issue with our air conditioning in the room and they had someone up to check it, and us moved right away. The pool and workout room were great and the breakfast in the mornings was fabulous… probably one of the best included breakfast buffets I’ve had in a hotel since Covid. Lots of hot and cold selections and plenty of them. The parking at the hotel is expensive but there is a garage right across the street that is much less, as well as plenty of street parking outside the hotel (free after 7pm) This hotel is right by Union Station and a few stops for the local transit, so it makes getting around so easy even if you don’t have a car with you! It also has a lovely courtyard with multiple gas fireplaces and chairs to relax after a day out:)

Disclaimer, I am a Marriott employee so I prefer you know while reading this review. I still remain a customer when I am traveling. This hotel was absolutely perfect for my boyfriend and I during our 5 nights stay in Portland! Honestly, this property makes me proud to be working for Marriott. A special Thank you to Wanda at the buffet breakfast for being so great with guests. She loves her job and it shows. Tricia, the concierge upon our arrival was very knowledgeable about the city and so very kind. Thank you to the man from Miami as well who checked us in. He was also doing a great job! I recommend this hotel without a doubt. Thank you for everything.

This was our first time in Portland and we had no real idea what expect of the city and surrounding area. If you do any reading, your head can spin. Only you can decide what you can tolerate. We were there for a wedding with a big, multi-generational group and this hotel was perfect for our purposes. As suites, the rooms had more-than-typical-hotel-room space. We used the kitchen area for leftovers and snacks. The extra sink was handy. The lighting was decent, the USB ports and number of outlets were good. Everyone had some room to spread out. The beds were what I expect from Marriott - super comfortable and we all slept well. Our room faced the interior courtyard and none of us had problems with noise. The hallways were noisy with kids running, but that's everywhere now. There were two things about the room that stood out and made the made it hard to maneuver for us, and that was the lack of drawer storage and that the only clothing storage was the hallway between the bedroom and bathroom. With four of us in the room and only TWO drawers, where are we all supposed to put almost a weeks worth of clothing? Yes, they are big drawers, but not nearly big enough. The closet, as usual, has a minimal number of hangers. We pack as lightly as possible but we were there for a special event and had some extra clothing. To add insult to injury, the bathroom door swings into the space where the two drawers open and the closet doors open. If a person tries to come out of the bathroom when another person is either in the closet or has a drawer open, there will be a collision (or the person in the bathroom is stuck inside). It's a huge cluster. Who thought that was a good idea? Maybe other rooms aren't designed like this. The common areas of the hotel were clean and well kept. The room card was needed to access the elevator and public restrooms. The breakfast in the morning was great. Lilia, one of the women who worked in the breakfast area, was so kind to our family, especially my mother-in-law. The workers, and she in particular, provided exceptional service every morning. Usually I'm not impressed with hotel breakfasts but I thought this one did it quite well. In the evenings, we almost always gathered at happy hour. With folks in our group of different ages from different parts of the country, being able to hang out together and relax in such a nice environment was what we needed. David and Ted were attentive and charming. They kept the drinks and appetizers flowing. For this, again, the hotel was perfect for us and the service was top notch. Transportation is easy at this location. Union Station is so close. The streetcar is not far. It's never difficult to get an Uber. There are also many restaurants and stores to explore just in the nearby neighborhood. We had a rental car delivered for three days of our time in Portland, to be able to explore beyond the city. It was very easy, and cheap, to park the car in the nearby parking garage. We worried a bit about security based on previous reviews but did not have an issue. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. The amazing staff, great condition, and easy location make up for any shortcomings.

Fantastic location with lots of street parking and right across from the train station. Staff was wonderful! Access to rideshare was quick and easy and the lobby was a great location to lounge while waiting. Nice bar area to grab drinks, as well!

We stayed there for 3 nights in May 2022. The hotel is very clean and bright. I believe it has been recently renvoted. We had a room with two separate bedrooms. Perfect for my wife and 2 kids. The hotel is near a railway station. I did hear clanking of trains on morning about 5 am for about 2 or 3 minutes. It wasn't too bothersome as I wear earplugs at night anyways. The hotel is out the outskirts of the Pearl District, so it's a few block walk to downtown Portland. The walk is about 20 minutes. All and all a good stay.
