First off the main building is all new but the staff no personality what so ever! Your not aloud to drink in the common area.... they just take your drinks no explanations what so ever. The wifi isn't high speed at all and it's just a very dull boring non hostel environment everyone was 40-50+ I spoke to one girl...

After staying in a not so great hostel in San Francisco prior, HI Northwest was a welcome respite. They have two buildings, I was in a four bed room in the newer (I think) building, closer to the corner. The room was modern, very clean, and the mattresses didn't feel like box springs, as I've experienced at hotels before... The...

Stayed with my daughter over Easter long weekend in a private room, with shared bath. After an initial less than satisfactory experience staying at a hostel in Seattle, I was pleasantly surprised to find accommodation at the Green House, one of three separate buildings run by NWPH, much more comfortable, pleasant and amenable. First they provide parking passes, so guests...

I loved this place. I'm a bit of a hostel pro by now and this was by far the best hostel I've ever stayed in. The exterior of the main building is just stunning. The staff are so kind and friendly and welcoming. They're really helpful with maps, Portland advice and booking activities. There are lots of fun free activities...

My husband and I spent two nights here, along with our two-year-old, in a private room. The room was spacious and quiet, easy to walk to downtown Portland and lots of shops and stories nearby. The building itself is beautiful with lots of history and the hostel is well-equipped with kitchens and common areas. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Wonderful, best hostel experience I've had! Everything brand new in the new annex and staff super helpful. Really close to everywhere you'd wanna go to in Portland, easy to walk everywhere. Very clean obviously since the building was new, but the main offices were nice too and kitchen area good. Courtyard would be cute when the weather is better.

Nice hostel ! It has lockers in the room and the bathroom was big and very clean as well as the bed. Very nice people ! It has a common room, with a big clean organized kitchen, outside there is a small patio with tables. I really liked the place, it is quiet yet there is plenty of interesting people...

Stayed here for two nights in the dorm, pretty much easy to get around with Downtown and Nob Hill just a short walk away. Loved the quaint atmosphere of the whole hostel, staff were friendly and pretty helpful too. My only peeve was the access card which kept deactivating a couple of times during my stay but everything else pretty...

My boyfriend and I stayed in a clean, spacious room in the guesthouse. I can't speak to the hostel portion but the guesthouse was quiet, had multiple bathrooms (single stall but I never had to wait), and was a short walk from attractions like Powell's. Will stay again.

The property is gorgeous from the outside and located in a well-kept neighborhood. The vibe was warm and friendly when I arrived. I stayed in a dorm and the beds were basic with clean linen and electrical outlets. The breakfast is good for what it is, bread and a few different spreads with some coffee. Typical hostel style, can't complain....
