This place was great and had parking. Which we loved. Also the staff were very helpful. We just loved the fact there’s a nice hotel near Powell’s bookstore. But not only that so many restaurants near them with great choices to pick from. It was a great stop on the way home.

Hotel's Favourite
The Mark Spencer was in a fantastic location, close to many great restaurants, shopping and things to do. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bed was pillowy and soft. Shower worked great. Mini fridge and microwave in room. Free wine and cheese in the lobby every night. Parking was $25 right under the building (you really do not need a car). Overall wonderful.

Beautiful spacious room/suite, reasonable parking rate, great location in downtown/pearl district, will definitely plan to stay there in future. Kitchenette was particularly useful as we chose to bring dinner back to the room despite the embarrassment of riches Portland offers to serious fressers.

We can’t say enough about the Mark Spencer Hotel. The location can’t be beat, central and easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. We had a lovely suite with a kitchenette and living/dining area. Amenities included a wine hour in the lobby and easy parking right next door. Amazing - and quite reasonably priced. We would highly recommend this fine hotel!

Ok when my girlfriend visited me we stayed here and we love it great area nice people city life was great i even stayed a few extra nights nobody bothered me. 5th floor near the laundry room was very convenient I would say maybe breakfast should be included for free every other continental breakfast are free from other hotels. It’ll be nice if they had an indoor pool

I came for an extended stay while attending the Floral Institute of Design and am beyond pleased! The hotel is clean and tidy, the staff is accommodating, helpful and pleasant at all times! Housekeeping came regularly. Transportation was right there! And the location is prime! I will always remember how the staff made me feel welcome and at home. This was my place of comfort! The owners care, the management and staff care. You will have warm coffee, snacks and wine, be happy and taken care of during your stay. Thank you for everything MSH, I will forever cherish my time there!

Little bit of a culture shock coming from Dallas, no thermostat or central heat in 30 degree weather so I had to figure out closing off kitchenette. Bed was comfortable and slept well. Need to do a better job housekeeping, the floor was filthy.

They do not have enough staff to make sure the rooms are clean, they do not answer the phone when you dial the front desk and if you have any needs as far as housekeeping after 4pm, they cannot help you. The rooms are small and our room smelled strongly of ladies perfume but we couldn't even reach the front desk to tell them. The wait to check in was almost an hour. Parking is $28 but that is not listed anywhere either. The location is the only plus.

Staff is very kind and friendly and it’s centrally located. My only dislike is that it didn’t have a restaurant/bar on site. I would definitely stay here again. The price for your value is very reasonable.

MS exceeded our expectations. We were able to do early check in which was a plus after a 9 hour drive. Desk and bell staff were very helpful and available when needed. Location, pricing, and parking were huge factors and did not disappoint. I can see how parking can be a tight and tricky but we had no issues. The complimentary wine and cheese as well as the availability of tea and coffee were a nice bonus. We look forward to a longer stay next time!
