Reasonably priced hotel very near Portland tram. Walkable to many city areas / restaurants. Was given a ticket to overflow parking across the street, which is a little cramped but serviceable. Hotel is an older property, but clean and well-kept. You will be satisfied if you are not expecting luxury. Breakfast is quite nice, and staff is very friendly and...

Booked this hotel for a family getaway and the reservations and front desk staff went out of their way to be helpful and book us 2 very suitable rooms across the hall from each other. They could not have been nicer in answering my innumerable questions and even made an excellent restaurant suggestion when we couldn't get a reservation where...

Thank you for your review! I will be happy to pass along your kind comments to our front desk staff. You mentioned many of the complimentary amenities that our guests have come to love and enjoy - afternoon tea and fresh baked cookies, an espresso machine available 24 hours a day that makes lattes, mochas and cappuccinos plus an evening...

This is not a luxury hotel and clearly an older property, but it's extremely clean and in a great location within walking distance of most of center-city Portland. Also close to all of Portland's many tram lines. Staff were friendly and helpful. Probably because it off-season, we got a very good price through Expedia. Our bed was very comfortable, and...

I'm so happy to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. We do have one of the best locations in town with many Portland area attractions within a few blocks - Powell's Bookstore, Portland Center Stage, Portland Timbers Soccer, The West End and Pearl District for dining and shopping and we're only a short trolley ride to the Portland Art...

Older hotel on the edge of Pearl District. I found the staff to be very nice and accommodating. Good location and walking distance to a number of restaurants and shops. A Block away to the public transportation. Suite rooms are on the small side and are somewhat outdated but looks like slight renovations (new carpet) have taken place. Internet access...

I frequently travel to Portland, I always stay here, I'm never disappointed. It's just right. Walking distance to everything I want to do: museums, theatre, cinema, great restaurants, interesting shopping and the Max line will take me anywhere further. I love the combination of old-fashioned kitchenette, comfortable bed and bath, hospitable and knowledgeable front desk, friendly staff and complimentary continental...

The Mark Spencer is an incredible find in downtown Portland. For location, convenience, accommodations, and amenities, I can't imagine a better value. Moreover, they outperformed a nearby 4-star hotel in service, hospitality, and professionalism. I stayed at the Mark Spencer for two weeks in mid-November 2013. The location is phenomenal. Two blocks from Powell's, Target, brand name and independent shops,...

I needed a hotel close by to good shopping and The Mark Spencer was awesome for that. It was super close to lots of places to eat and to shop, no car necessary.
