OKAY, I've stayed off the beaten path a few times and regretting every moment and it has haunted me since! BUT......The Prospect Historic Hotel is a wonderful find that I would be pleased to recommend to anyone going through the area or looking for a quiet getaway! So I found this place on the internet and was weary but called...

Call well ahead in the Winter for a room and breakfast in the B&B (the motel rooms are nothing to write home about), but the 10 minute hike to Pearson waterfalls, the 2 minute drive to the Avenue of the Boulders and the 15 minute hike to another two couple hundred foot waterfalls makes this place a destination in itself.

Thank you for staying with us Eric. We are glad you enjoyed the area and the region. Aren't our 3 Waterfalls beautiful? You are correct; you should make advance reservations for the Nationally Registered Historic Hotel Bed and Breakfast Inn during the WINTER months. When we are not busy we do turn down the heat to save on energy and...

The owners were super friendly, knew a lot about the history. The rooms were charming, each with a hand made quilt. Most rooms were occupied, however, the available rooms were open to view & enjoy the decor. Several "nooks & crankies" to enjoy in this old building; found a couch to sit & enjoy a good read. The food was...

This 1888 ten room B and B is a Historic Stage Coach Inn. Rooms are named after the authors and presidents who have stayed here. There is also a motel behind it and pretty much wilderness all around. Prospect, OR is tiny. We stayed here on a visit to Crater Lake and the rooms were clean, comfortable and charming (one...

Thank you for visiting us Wendy!. The Town of Prospect is small - that's part of it's charm. Of course it's close proximity to Crater Lake National Park helps. When the Hotel was built people were smaller; so during the Restoration in 1988 Private baths were added to rooms that weren't big to begin with, making the original rooms even...

The Central Oregon Nordic Club stays with 40+ guests every year and every year it is a wonderful experience. Always well-organized, friendly and clean. Fred is a fantastic host - the meals are wonderful. A terrific place at a great price. Thanks once again.

We had a spacious room in the motel portion of the property. There were too rooms with a small stove and fridge. The grounds were lovely. The motel was quiet. The owner gave us a map and directions to several nearby trails that had some very scenery.

If you're visiting Crater Lake there are few options for accommodations. We stayed in the hotel for 2 nights. The room was clean, verrry small - nowhere to put your suitcase & nowhere to sit except the bed. Breakfast was the one redeeming feature, dinner - not so much! Pleasant desk staff. Today I think it is not unreasonable to...

We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and that you found our staff to be pleasant. We are a Nationally Registered Historic Hotel. When the hotel was built around 1888-89, people were a lot smaller and the Hotel didn't have ANY indoor plumbing! During the ground up Restoration in 1988-89 private baths were added for all the rooms. Unfortunately...

We've spent seven weeks travelling in the USA, and my partner and I agree that - unfortunately - this was the low point. We stayed in the economy motel rooms, which were the most basic of all the motels we stayed in the USA - needing a refit, with a very noisy fridge, the beds not so comfortable. Mainly the...

We are terribly sorry that Sean did not enjoy his meal with us. He had two of our MOST popular menu items so it is very unusual. Our Rib Eye steaks are known for their wonderful flavor (Dusted with a pepper mixture) and tender texture, so I don't know what happened. There were no mentions to our server the night...

We had a one-night stay at this B&B as we came down from Crater Lake and prepared to head into northern CA. I chose the Zane Grey room, and it was a room in which he had stayed but not western themed. The room was small (the hotel was built as a stage coach stop for the 2 day journey...

The Prospect Hotel has hosted many famous people. Beautifully restored, tons of neat antiques.. The spacious dining rooms served delicious food. It has views on three side of their beautiful landscape, right up to the monkey cage. Very expensive, but if money is no problem, worth it, enjoy. The downside was the rooms behind the main. No photos or info,...
