We wanted a rustic experience near Crater Lake and this was it. I first booked a lodge room, thinking I had booked a cabin. Front desk let me change it easily to a cabin. The bathroom was really small but great water pressure! We enjoyed our stay. Was able to hike the Union trail and walk across the street to...

Bed was just so/so. Know this is a relatively isolated location. Housekeeping didn't make an appearance and proprietier said they would, "Bring it up to them." I had left a note for housekeeping to wipe the years worth of dust off the ceiling fan for me while they were in there. Oh well. Staff didn't offer to comp us with...

We're sorry the cleanliness of your room was an issue. This is not a reflection of the housekeeping standards we expect. We hope you enjoyed the beautiful Union Creek area, got a chance to visit Crater Lake, and enjoy some great food at Beckie's. - Kent and Sandy Watson, Union Creek Resort owners

Obviously, this isn't a "five star" hotel. There's no cell signal or good WIFI connection and its very rustic/ old, BUT isn't that why you stay in the middle of the woods in Oregon? The property is beautiful, the staff are very friendly, the rooms are cute, clean and cozy, and the food at the diner across the street is...

To start off, I would like to explain that if I want to go sleep in the woods, I pitch a tent; when I want to get a certain level of comfort, I book a room at a resort. This should not be called a resort. I got a room in one of the lodge rooms because I was on...

Fantastic owners who continue to upgrade their facilities and aim to please. We originally booked a room upstairs in the resort, but my wife was handicapped and couldn't climb stairs. The owners were accommodating in giving us a cabin that was really nice for a nominal add on price which we felt was exceptionally reasonable. They have a great location,...

Thank you for your wonderful review! I'm so glad we were able to accommodate your needs and make your stay comfortable. There is so much to do here. Watson Falls is one of our favorite spots to hike. It's great you were able to experience that too. We would love to have you back so you can take in more...

Funky cottages that didn't feel clean because they are run down. The brown carpet and faded bed spread contributed to overall dreariness. Worn out saggy beds with plastic mattress protector. Be aware that the rooms in main building have shared bathroom ( only one for women snd one for men). We were offered room #8 so assume that there were...

Hi Sarah, Thank you for staying with us. And thank you for your nice comments about Beckie's Cafe across the street and our snow shoes rentals. It's been one incredibly beautiful winter! We're sorry you didn't find the cabins to your liking. The unique European-style bathrooms in the Lodge aren't for everyone. We hope you enjoyed your stay and hope...

We stayed one night and it was not enough. The scenery around the resort is amazing, we based our selfs here to do crater lake but it was snowed in. Be prepared for snow. The quaint resort is lovely, has friendly staff and we would stay again and recommend

Cabin 6 has a king-sized bed in a studio-like cabin with a good sized kitchenette, fridge, stove - the works. Walk-in shower big enough for two and nice vanity. (I believe this is an ADA room cause there's a ramp leading in on the side.) For $179/night it's a little overpriced until you remember this is their off season and...

We booked a lodge room for New Year's Eve. Comfortable bed and pillows. Cozy rustic vibe. Good food as always at Beckies across the street. We have also stayed in a cabin last year. Updated charm. Fireplace room in the main floor of lodge is open to everyone and a very nice space.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
It’s a resort that hearkens back to a simpler era. We call it rustic comfort; similar to what you would find in the 1920s when it was first built, but now with modern conveniences and charm. You won’t find golf courses, spa services, or salons. But you will find a well-appointed, authentic lodge set amongst towering Douglas Firs in the Rogue River National Forest. It’s an ideal location to experience Oregon’s great outdoors in a simple, yet comfortably updated resort. All around is the smell of pine needles and the sounds of birds and rushing creek waters. The stunning natural setting includes distinctive Union Creek and the Wild & Scenic Rogue River, hiking trails amongst spectacular 700-year-old Douglas Firs in old growth forests, and nearby Crater Lake National Park – truly a must-see destination. ... more   less
