With great expectations we booked our reservations. Historic nature of lodge met expectations. Size of room VERY small and bathroom even smaller. No hot water and shower you could hardly turn around in. No counter space. Bed linens were great however LOTS of feathers.

Took a late afternoon drive from Damascus up to the lodge just before sunset. Still plenty of snow. Tall pines line the drive up to the lodge once in the parking lot the view is amazing. Still plenty of activity in May.

We had the continental breakfast which was 12.95. This included granola, yogurt, fresh fruit, homemade smoothies, assortment of breads and pastries, juices and coffee. Considering the beauty of the vistas and the history of the dining room, we didn't think this was out of line.
