We were in town for a wedding so we took up more than half of the hotel (which has I believe only has 7 or 8 rooms to begin with). We stayed in rooms 2, 3, 5 and 7 if memory serves me correctly. I think only one other room was taken up by another guest. I should warn you...

Two things have nothing but this hotel is not for families no longer supporting children and You have to be sure of the room that will rent because some have the bathroom outside, this happened to me, but I could change room paying more for with bathroom inside. The room was beutiful and cozy and the hostess were amazing. My friend and I stayed there over two nights, in room 7. According to others who've stayed there, it's haunted. We had no such experience. I was sorta hoping for something paranormal, but my friend says doesn't believe in them, so no nothing tickled our feet, like other reviewers had written in the room 7's guest book. Regardless, the hotel...

We were heading to the Oregon coast for a 2 day getaway and found the Old Wheeler Hotel. It is a truly amazing place. I believe that it was an old boarding house in the past. Each of the room are unique and filled with antiques. the view from our room (#3) looked out on the Nehalem river basin. There...

This is an absolutely gorgeous, unique place to stay. But if you are allergic to perfumes, be aware that the laundry detergent is scented. (We are always surprised to find this, because the standard in virtually all hotels is to use unscented laundry products due to the frequency of perfume allergies.) However this hotel is actually a bed and breakfast,...

The location is perfect for exploring surrounding area. Bring your kayak and hiking shoes. The view in the breakfast room draws and invites you to go outside and experience it for yourself - it's a story telling, lingering sort of room inviting camaraderie. Katy is a great hostess and the hotel feels cozy and welcoming. We launched our kayaks right...

Quaint historic building with beautiful vintage decor and atmosphere. Very clean, quiet, and comfortable. Excellent staff with great attention to detail. Fresh seasonal fruits, cheese and pastries for breakfast. Just steps from excellent restaurants with local fare. Two large antique shops and numerous small decor and jewelry stores make this a great place to rest after a full day of...

The rooms are beautiful, the whole hotel has ambiance. There are nearby restaurants, activities and the owner is wonderful! Highly recommended! We went kayaking, were mere minutes away from beautiful beaches and breathtaking views. Antiques and cafes in the same block, with a stop for the Tillamook railroad right outside the door. Jump on and see the scenic Oregon Coast...

You can often tell when someone loves and believes in what they do by the results of their efforts, and this appears to be true with Katie and The Old Wheeler Hotel, who she lovingly refers to as "She". Total charm and comfort from coming in off the streets to saying goodbye, just so sweet. The breakfast/gathering room was a...

Our group of three couples (old friends)stayed at the Old Wheeler Hotel recently and had a wonderful stay. This historic hotel is on great gem on the Nehalem Bay. The rooms are appointed in antique furniture, wonderful beds, great views, good bathrooms, bathrobes, flat screen TV's, with the feel of the early 1900's withy the exception of the tv). There...
