The proprietors, Steve and Lynn, are superb hosts. You will fell warmly welcomed, enjoy stimulating conversation, and find quietude in surrounding gardens. Outdoors you will be bekoned by beautiful mountains and a small town with a big heart. The air is fresh, the water clean and the sounds of nature audible. We had a very nice time at The Chancellor's House. We were in in Bedford for a family gathering and stayed the weekend. Everything about our stay was perfect. Lynn and Steve could give a clinic on running B&Bs. Each morning we woke to delicious full breakfasts with delicious fruit, juices, coffee and tea, homemade breads and wonderful entrees (a...

We were just passing through Bedford and only stayed one night, but wished it had been longer. The owners are very welcoming, and the home is beautifully appointed. it was built in 1875, but has been so well maintained it is hard to believe it is that old. The owner gave us a tour of the home upon arrival. The...

I recently stayed overnight in Bedford and I was looking for something a bit different from standard motel room accommodations. The property is lovely inside and out. My hosts were gracious and offered several recommendations for dinner that night. Unfortunately, I was only able to eat at one of them! Unlike the other area B and Bs, The Chancellor's House...

Located in walking distance of Bedford shops and restaurants. Elegantly furnished with gorgeous antiques and contemporary artwork -- not awash with quasi-Victorian fru-fru like some historical B&Bs. Lynn and Steve are gracious hosts, and offered us wine and cheese and enjoyable conversation in their family room before we headed off to dinner. If you are visiting during the winter months,...

The house and rooms are beautifully maintained and impeccably cleaned. The area is safe and quiet and they have a beautiful garden and wrap a around porch. We had a chance to enjoy wine and cheese on the porch with the owners, who were both a pleasure to hang out with. Breakfast is served in the morning -- and the...

If accommodating, comfortable, clean, and an excellent breakfast are your criteria in choosing a bed and breakfast, then The Chancellor's House should be on the top of your list! My husband and I were driving from Cincinnati to New York and wanted to break up the drive. We prefer to stay in B&B's rather than hotels, and have done so...

This B n B is more than anything you could imagine! The house is comfortable, cheery and welcoming. Lynn and Steve are warm and helpful. Steve will tell you all about the Bedford area and the dreams/plans he and others have for this area. The bed we slept in was the most comfortable bed I've really ever slept in! Clean?...

This Bed and Breakfast was everything we expected from a historical home. Beautifully furnished, inviting and classic!!! Quiet and charming. The breakfast was delicious...however,we would have preferred more fruit and less carbs. (No options were given for breakfast.) Typically, B & B owners 'show guests around' the house so that their guests can make themselves 'at home' and feel comfortable....

This was our first bed and breakfast experience and it exceeded all expectations. My husband and I spent our Valentine's Day weekend at The Chancellor's House with Lynn and Steve George. They were welcoming, gracious and full of wonderful stories about The Chancellor's House and Bedford, PA. They were able to give us directions, recommendations and lots of advice on...
