This wonderful converted carriage house, carefully designed by John and Barbara gives guests a feeling of home away from home. The interior photos don't do it justice. The three spacious suites are beautifully decorated and provide a comfortable setting to relax after busy days exploring the many attractions the Brandywine River Valley has to offer. The sitting area, breakfast room,...

From the hospitality to the area and location, everything was wonderful. Accommodations were perfect. Stayed in the Longwood Suite for Valentines Day weekend. Loved the layout of the bedroom and the sitting room. Bathroom had an amazing Jacuzzi whirlpool tub and the gas fireplace in the sitting room kept us warm and could be viewed from the bed in the...

Wonderful B & B! Quiet, comfortable, well appointed suite in a redone carriage house. John and Barbara were gracious hosts, and looked after our every need. Terrific weekend! The decorating and attention to detail were top notch, and the central location was convenient. We will be back!

Located within two miles of Longwgood Gardens and other Brandywine Valley attractions this inn is a perfect place to experience a quintessential Bed and Breakfast getaway in Pennsylvania. The converted 1800's carriage house has three beautiful suites appointed with comfortable, charming antiques and warm details. John Haedrich is a gracious host and was able to make suggestions for sightseeing and...

Perfect location for our two-day trip of exploring neighboring museums and gardens. (Brandywine River Museum, Winterthur, Nemours, Longwood Gardens, etc.,are all nearby.) At the end of each exhausting day of touring, the Longwood B&B served as a relaxing and comfortable haven for us. Our suite was roomy and clean. The flower-filled grounds were lovely and could be appreciated during an...

We wanted a B&B near Longwood Gardens. We found this B& B to fit the bill perfectly. The accommodations were excellent. We had lots of room, a comfortable bed, and great breakfasts. John was helpful with what to see in the area and where to dine. We would definitely recommend this B&B.

This is what we all hope for in a B & B. Ideally located for exploring the Brandywine valley. John and Barbara are gracious hosts and great sources of inside information. John cooks a delicious breakfast and our room was spacious and comfortable. The only problem we had was signage - the sign at the foot of the driveway is...

Longwood Bed & Breakfast advertises itself as a place “Where we pamper our guests”. I did not find this to be the case. As a matter of fact, after 3 nights I wanted to be home with my own fluffy towels, high thread count sheets and nice shampoo. The host has indicated he would be willing to provide more if...

This is the first time that my husband and I stayed at a B&B. John met us as we parked our car. He was a gracious host the entire time. We never met his wife, but that didn't matter. This B&B is wonderful place and we would stay here again. There was more than enough space for the two of...

4 Road weary South Africans were treated like royalty at Longwood B&B. John is a wizard with breakfast and a treasure trove of information. The proximity to Longwood Gardens is ideal and there are many other day trips in the direct vicinity.
