My wife and I spent a few days at the Inn over the Columbus Day weekend. The Inn strikes just the right balance in so many ways. Rick and and Laura (the owners) are soothingly attentive without being hovering. The breakfasts, cooked by Rick, are varied and delicious. The Inn itself is within easy reach to really interesting places to... More

The innkeepers could not have been more helpful at this charming B and B. 6 women of a certain age were on an escape from every day problems. We enjoyed every minute of our trip. Lovely suites slept 3 each- and we even got a card table for our games. Helpful staff, and immaculate room were noted. Afternoon tea was... More

The breakfast was outstanding, and the room was quaint and delightful. The Inn owner goes out of his way to make dinner recommendations, and reservations for travelers staying with him. The Inn's resident pooch is a delightful touch. I recommend!

Stayed here over July 4th weekend last year. I stayed in the carriage house. What a wonderful place. The property is fairly big and you can walk around a lot. It has a great location close, to everything like Long Wood Gardens, Winterthur, Nemours Garden and Hagley Museum. They also served a great breakfast.

My husband and I recently stayed at Fairville for 4 nights in the second floor Suite. The room is exactly as shown on the website. Only comment is that the sitting room is a great addition - much more so than indicated on web. If staying for more than one night, opt for one of the suite, if possible. The... More

The Fairville Inn is as advertised on its website. The only surprises were pleasant ones: the warm and welcoming owners, the delicious breakfasts, the gorgeous green grounds, Ozzie the dog and the inn's proximity to Philadelphia (it's a quick trip) and to so many attractions, including Longwood Gardens, the Wyeth museum, Kennett Square and several fine restaurants. Carriage House 1... More

My wife and I have been going to the Fairville for at least five years. It is always a pleasure. The owners, Rick and Laura are very friendly and very helpful. The entire staff is terrific. The rooms have always been spotless. Our favorite room is Main 1. It is so very cozy. We have stayed in almost every room... More

Stayed upstairs in main house. Carpet on stairs going up is filthy. Room was marginally clean. Throughout you get a scent of cigarette smoke. When looking out the window in the a.m. we saw the Mr. Owner puffing away with his filthy, dirty sneakers on. The pictures look nice on line but the place is a major disappointment in person.... Everyone is entitled to their opinions – but that does not make them correct. Of the 251 reviews on Trip Advisor as I write this, only 7 (including this one) have been negative. The last negative review was 14 months ago. If this guest is right, 244 other reviewing guests are wrong. For the record, I do confess that I... More

My wife and I stayed here when we went to Philadelphia to see a concert at Lincoln Financial Field. The ride to the stadium was about 40 minutes but we couldn't have made a better choice. We stayed in the Carriage House (Room 2) which is a beautiful room with a private deck.
