Booked three large rooms for two nights each for family Easter weekend at Hershey Park. Got back to our room after a full day and it was a mess. Gave new towels and that’s it. Didn’t make the bed, didn’t empty any of the trash and didn’t even replace the coffee in the room. I called the front desk- no answer. I called the hotel operator- no answer, and this is at 9:30 PM, not even late at night. After three more calls finally someone answered and told us they no longer do beds, garbage or coffee! And we are paying premium rates because of the holiday- about $700 per room for the two days. No place does it say any of this on their website, and nobody told us of any of this. And no answer at the desk? What if there were an emergency? A person finally came up and told us SHE WAS THE ONLY EMPLOYEE IN THE HOTEL at that time and was running around taking care of things. One other note- we requested a handicap-accessible room for mobility issues. When we got here, it was not reserved that way. The clerk said that the central reservation office (the only way to make a reservation) doesn’t know what rooms the hotel has! What we were given was a room with a regular bathroom, not a walk in shower. It just had grab bars and a folding seat, AND it was on the fifth floor! Handicap access dictates that these rooms should be on the lowest or ground floor for safe escape in an emergency. Awful experience. Hotel NOT recommended.…

Hotel staff were very friendly and extremely professional. Spending the weekend in Hershey, PA and we were allowed to check in early. Hotel was very busy, but overall the staff was very prepared and organized. Pool was great, morning breakfast was very nice. Overall a great experience.

This hotel was very clean and the staff was very professional and helpful. The hotel lobby and the hotel rooms were very clean. The beds were comfortable. There was a small refrigerator and microwave in the room which became useful. However, based on the great reviews I had read, I had expected more. First, the hotel is not on Chocolate Ave as advertised on Expedia and is not within walking distance to any restaurants or shops. Although it is very close to Hershey Park. Less than one mile drive. We were located on the second floor and the walls and floors seem very thin. Our family woke up to a man and woman banging things and screaming bloody murder at one another. It was absolutely terrifying. I know this isn’t the hotels fault, but it’s definitely something we won’t forget. The pool is tiny so we did not use it! If you are looking for a hotel without any bells or whistles and just want a clean bed to sleep in for then night than I would recommend this place.…

Jakubjess, Thank you for your feedback of your recent stay with us at the Fairfield by Marriott in Hershey. I am pleased to hear that you experienced wonderful customer service and our cleanliness was up to your standards. Our hotel is located directly off Chocolate Avenue. We are 1 mile from all restaurants in downtown Hershey for a 20 minute walk. Hershey Park is about a 5 minute drive and is 2 miles from us. There has been a lot of confusion between us and Fairfield by Marriott in Harrisburg, therefore they changed our name to Hershey Chocolate Avenue so people understood that our location is in Hershey, not Harrisburg as the one in Harrisburg is called Fairfield by Marriott Hershey Harrisburg. I apologize for the noise that you experienced at your recent stay with us. This is definitely something that we would want to be aware of during your visit so we can assess the situation in the best of out abilities. Great Staff and Very Clean and comfortable rooms. We are looking forward to our next visit. Great location being near Hershey Park, Hershey Garden’s, the outlet stores and best of all “Troegs Brewery ( great food and quality beer). Someone on the staff recommended “The Mill at Hershey “ and wow what a great experience there too.

I'm still here, so it must be good writing a review early. Arrived late, although the hotel is clearly sold out my room was ready. After a super quick check in process, we headed to the room ~ Along the way everyone was so pleasant to talk to. Arrived at our room on the 4th fl. The studio was nice 2 queen beds & a couch sleeper sofa, 2 TV, nice Big bathroom, & plenty of space to put away clothes for extended stays . We also enjoyed the the indoor pool ! The next morning There is a small gym with treadmills & ellipticals some free weights & at 7am the is a full continental breakfast waffles, omelettes, cereals, toast, bagels, hard boiled eggs, & a nice oatmeal station with 10 different toppings from flax seeds to brown sugar Again the Hotel staff is warm & courteous this morning too. Especially the Breakfast staff whom when asked went to the back to get the waffle mix so we could read the nutrition labels for our Nut Allergy. As for location it's less than a miles by car to the Hershey parking lot.. and the icing on the cake is a fantabulous restaurant called "The Mill" you won't be disappointed for a Great meal…

The rooms were clean!! The only downside was that the rooms were not ready when we were checking in. We waited 20 mins and then we were placed in rooms that had different room numbers than the ones the staff initially told us. The process was a little confusing. Nevertheless, the rooms were clean and breakfast was decent.

There were 4 adults staying overnight and this room was very spacious for an overnight stay. The parking lot was full late in the evening but the hotel was super clean and quiet. There was a nice breakfast but we only had coffee . The location was very close, just off Chocolate Ave. Would definitely stay here again when visiting Hershey.

You might laugh but this hotel had the best shower water pressure I have ever experienced. It may be in combination with the showerhead they use, it was similar to a comfortable massage. Strong but not painfully so. Staff was professional, friendly, and helpful both in person and over the phone. Our room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. At first I thought the bed was a little lumpy though I changed my mind after I slept through the alarm. Gremlins in the thermostat? The room was freezing even though I continued to raise the temperature up to 75. The fix was mashing the buttons through the myriad of settings. The free morning breakfast consisted of typical continental fare along with two hot options. One had meat and the other was vegetarian. Of course my daughter loved the fresh waffle maker with copious amounts of syrup. This hotel met my expectations for a Marriott.…

I spent over $500 for an overnight stay. The staff were very nice and professional however, the room was dirty. There was a wet dirty wash cloth and a loofa left behind and not cleaned. The front desk came up apologized, took a picture, and took the dirty items. I felt uncomfortable the rest of the stay. If that was overlooked what else was over looked? Were my sheets clean? Were the towels clean or just refolded? It was way too expensive for this!

Stay would have been a 5/5 but we were overcharged for our room $40 after checkout. That hassle is enough to drop it 2 stars for me. Hotel was very clean, rooms were comfortable with microwave and mini fridge. Hotel pool was clean, exercise room was not impressive but it was clean. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was hot with good options and something a little different each day (although the coffee was terrible). Located just outside of the main Hershey commercial area with shops and restaurants. You could have walked there with better weather in probably 15-20min.

Dear LW2016116, Thank you for leaving your feedback about your stay. Guest comments are what helps us ensure we are doing things correctly and help us know when we need to make changes. I am pleased to hear that you enjoyed our location and that your stay was clean and comfortable! I did take a look at your reservation and it looks like the $40 you see as an over-charge was the incidentals fee. The property holds a $20 per night fee for incidentals meaning you can charge items to your room, upgrade your internet, use laundry service, etc and we wouldn't take it directly out of your account. This hold is on your account for 3-10 days depending on when your bank releases it back to your account. We authorize every room night for this fee and if you do not use it for purchases during your stay this hold falls off the account automatically 3-10 days from departure. You should see this amount come back to your account soon! This has been reviewed by our General Manager and we would like to speak with you regarding your experience in hopes that we can earn your trust for a future stay at our Fairfield by Marriott Hershey! Please call the hotel directly and ask to speak with Sean Lantz, our General Manager and he would be happy to assist you further!
