This is one of the best campgrounds I have even been to and our RV has rolled thru many a state. Since my family left the local town and we lost our 'free lodging' we have tried almost all of the RV campgrounds around the lake and the resort in the last 34 years. This one knocks them off the...

Took my two children and two Shepherds, the Campground is spacious yet all amenities are close by. Clean beaches and bath houses. Great activities for kids at the welcome center and park rangers really interact with the kids. Will be back for sure.

I camped here in a 30' travel trailer. These are all electric only sites, but do all allow your pooch. If you have a bigger rig (30+ ft), you need to be very conscious of what site you're booking. Nice by the lake on the last loop. Lots of stairs- tons. Small sites but adequate. Nice amphitheater and little museum. Good little general store just outside the entrance. Lots of boaters and boat noise. Good site for families. Clean and well kept.

We stayed at this campground during DirtFest and its much better than the other campground because the sites are 100% flat and conveniently situated. Bathrooms are pretty clean, wildlife still present, sites are electric ready, rangers and ranger station informative and friendly. The only complaint I have is that the showers are intermittently hot, but maybe this was because the...
