Many Tibetans come here on pilgrimage so the rooms are good but if you are looking for luxury you wont find it here. Centrally located in the main street surrounded by mountains. Beds hard but comfortable and room very quiet. Met all necessary needs. Limited English and staff were friendly and helpful.

As other have pointed out the hotel is in a good location and in Xiahe you don't really have a lot of choice. We stayed for 2 nights on part of an 18 day tour of China. The rooms are not luxury and are a little basic but there is free loose tea (goodness knows why this seems to be... More

Of course there are few hotels to choose from in this remote city of xiahue. It seems that the civil aviation hotel is the best in town. A lot of things to say , though: On the positive side, it is centrally located and Labrang monastry , the only reason you came here ,is easily reachable by walk. There is an... More

Despite its very 'official' name this hotel is quite good. Lobby and reception is quite spacious though decor is typical of most Chinese hotels. The room is quite spacious, clean and comfy. The bed was firm just the way I like it. Shower/bath is good and pressure was strong. The hotel has elevators and if you prefer quiet ask for... More

A very nice hotel, beautifully decorated. Shower was good although water ran all over the floor in the bathroom. Quite clean apart from the carpet. Fridge didn't work but we put our beers outside on the window ledge and they were chilled in no time! The wardrobe hanging rail was very very high but no problem really. Don't know how... More

A pretty large hotel with 260 rooms centrally located along a very long main road that runs through Xiahe. Very convenient for shopping and food. Rooms are clean and fairly equipped with aircon, basic amenities and Wifi and comes with breakfast. Nothing to shout about but I would say decent! We stayed only 1 night just to visit the Labrang... Xiahe is a relatively small town at one end of which is the Labrang Monastery that, along with the Sangki grasslands, attracts most visitors. The Civil Aviation Hotel is one of the better places to stay in the town and it is an easy walk along the main street to the monastery. Almost no English is spoken here and we... More

This is a rather new hotel near the center of the town . The room and the bathroom were small but comfortable with the usual dirty carpet . When we arrived the room temperature was rather cold and we had to call someone of the staff to switch on the heater . The thing was difficult as no one in... More

The Civil Aviation Hotel is newer and located in the centre of town. From the hotel, it is still quite a long walk to the monastery. The hotel looks very impressive from the outside and looks decent on the inside as well. Overall though, I think the hotel is overpriced. The breakfast was not good at all. None of the... More
