Since the moment we arrived, our experience at this place was nothing but a nightmare . For the amount of money that we spent we were expecting a better service. The houses were dirty. It seems like they never changed the sheets on the beds that were used from previous visitors. We found sheets stained with blood, hairs in the...

I have got to say, this is a first! Sorry we could not make you happy. We screen our guests very carefully to avoid this. Obviously I did not do a very good job here. As you say, from the moment you arrived you were the worst guests we have ever had. The "blood stain" on one of the throw...

Staying in Finca Las Nubes has been my worst experience ever!!! I stayed there for my Christmas Vacations and Christmas became a Nightmare. Everything was terribly dirty. The fridge was full of rotten food, the sheets were horrible stained (I don't want to know what kind of stains!!!) and dirty and there was some excrement in the bathroom and we...

In response to both recent “terrible” reviews (who were from the same group): The night these guests arrived, I (Natalie, the owner’s daughter), went up to greet these guests and give orientation as I do with all guests. By that time, my staff had already come to me IN TEARS, saying that these guests had physically thrown belongings from the...

We got married at Finca las Nubes. We wanted to spend our special week with thirty of our closest friends and family in a natural setting. We were in it to change perceptions, to expose our guests to a new way of thinking about food, housing, and environment--and was this ever the opportunity. What we found was luxury within the...

Finca las Nubes is on the last ridge before the narrow Pacific lowlands and the ocean. High above San Juan del Sur, almost floating like a bird, our villa looked out over the green and verdant landscape to the sea beyond. We could see the surf on the beach in San Juan, and the boats in the harbour, far below....

Everything about this place in fantastic. Our Spanish is nada but with a good sense of humor and the desire to understand the staff and my family communicated with ease. The house was lovely and the pool amazing.Food fresh and plentiful. Views are amazing. Tranquil happy days and nights. The only thing that I would recommend is screens for the...

Delicious food fresh off the sustainable organic farm. Wonderfully amazing people that make it all happen. Gorgeous sunsets to look forward to. Restful sleep that accompanies full days of play. I had a most pleasant and enjoyable time and will be returning for more of the tranquil beauty at Finca Las Nubes! Much love, Veronica Penn, C.M.T.

Our trip from Syracuse (cheaper than Ottawa, ON) was long, but made worthwhile by our stay at Finca Las Nubes. The staff are topnotch; even more, they are multifaceted, as they do seasonal duties of tour guide or assisting on the farm during rainy season. Locals from San Juan Del Sur, the staff know the area and provide detailed suggestions...

It is called the 'Farm of the clouds', but it should be called Heaven. We were met with a sensory overload. The view was breath taking. The rooms look out over the beautiful landscape to the town and then the ocean. The sunsets were amazing, followed by the night sky with more stars than I knew were possible. The staff...

We just returned from a truly magical stay at Finca Las Nubes. My partner and I stayed there with my parents, who before this trip, had never been out of the US. Finca Las Nubes was the absolute best choice we could have made for lodging during our stay. It was much more than a bed to sleep in--it was...

It started when Marcelino met us at the airport and we felt like a part of the Finca Las Nubes family during our entire trip. Chris and Natalie were such great hosts and we are so impressed with what they are doing for the community. Jose was at the gate to greet us each time we arrived and left the...
