This is a basic, budget hostel with great views; but there are also many problems. Not only was an ant invasion occurring when I was there, there was a scorpion in my room! Furthermore, a large family dominates the social areas, electricity wasn't always available, and it was dark and almost shambolic at times. Worse, though, the floors were dirty,...

I was staying in one of their private rooms a few nights. It's a safe and tranquil place with a family vibe that spreads among the visitors that merge with Elizabeth's family who runs the place and also lives there. Rooms were basic but OK, facilities clean enough..Maybe my cooking standards are set to high for the price we were...

This hostel with basic amenities, a great location, and a well-stocked kitchen shines because if Elizabeth. She's the sweetest. Hang out in the kitchen long enough and you're sure to get treats from Elizabeth. The rooms are basic. The hostel is clean enough, though not immaculate. But I highly recommend it, especially if you want a quieter space away from...

Stayed a week at Hostel Elizabeth with my partner in a single room with private bath. Although the rooms are modest (clean but basic), we both had a great experience staying there due largely to the sweetness, warmth and kindness radiating from the hostel's incredible owner. From the moment we stepped in she was helpful and motherly, happy to answer...

I enjoyed my time staying in this hostel so much that I kept extending my stay. The place itself is an older building but the dorm and rooms are clean and comfortable and the prices are more than fair. The best part of this stay is the family that runs it. They are such welcoming people who are always smiling,...

We stayed here on two occasions in San Juan del Sur. The first time, we paid for a private room but we weren't overly impressed because it was a bit cramped and dark. However, its good location in the town meant it still worked well for us as a base after Sunday Funday. On the second occasion, we paid less...

Got a private room for 10$. It was clean, safe and comfortable. It has a nice kitchen and everybody but the old man are very nice. Its very well located and it isnt noisy at nights. I highly recomend this hostel in SJDS if you are looking for a cheap and nice place with a kitchen.

Home away from home, and the best prices for private rooms (shared bathroom or private). Also, she has an absolutely stunning apartment for EXTREMELY cheap. If you are staying longer then a few nights, or have a bunch of people, I'd recommend looking at it. She is a lovely women who runs the hostel out of her family home, which...

The only place in town to hire a bike, and they suck in it! Tried a test rit in the street, it was very light and accleration seemed ok, but it turned out to be that it wasnt.. We already payed, so went with bikes to two beaches (south side) anyway, could have done it easily within 30-40 each with...

My two sisters and 10 other friends stumbled upon Hostel Elizabeth during our week stay in Nica. We loved it so much that my sisters and I later returned to stay a few more nights. The staff was so unbelievably welcoming and friendly. We felt safe during our entire stay. Clean rooms and bathrooms, as well as an amazing balcony...
