Somewhere to stay before going to Stonehenge in the morning. The hotel is old. It is supposed to be. The staff seem to be new. The heating is up almost uncomfortably high (this from people who live in the tropics). We have the window open to ease it. So far so good.

Was very concerned when my wife booked this hotel but Wow what a pleasant surprise. There has been a manager change here and they really are very Good. We checked in and were shown to our room the manager even carried our bags. The room had been recently decorated and the bed was so comfortable. We had dinner the first...

This is a quirky place with much character. The bar is cosy with a real fire and some good ales. The room was perfectly fine but in need of some TLC, chips in the bath enamel, cheap furniture etc. Breakfast was ok except for the cheapest possible sausages. Good value place to stay that isn't the cold characterless chain that...

Uneven corridors (this is a very old hotel, but that is part of its charm) give way to bright newly refurbished rooms. The bed was comfy, the bathroom, big, clean and with an excellent shower over the bath. There was plenty of hot water. The hotel is surprisingly large, and I loved the atmosphere - it is an old coaching...

This pub/hotel is very out dated and in need of decoration and repairs - under new management so there is hope so long as they can spend the money, attract new clientele and have patience. Breakfast was good and served promptly.

Following our recent stay at The George Hotel, Amesbury I must admit we were very very disappointed. After being let down on another hotel for the weekend we decided to make a quick relocation to get away. Both my mother and my partners father are going through cancer treatment and we needed some us time. We booked the George after...

Lovely old coaching inn near to Stonehenge. The room was tidy and had the usual facilities for drinks. The bathroom was adequate and stocked with towels, soap and shampoo. The bed and bedding were fine, although we needed the extra blanket. The meals and service were okay. But there was an atmosphere of weariness about the place.

We came here for a quick bite to eat whilst visiting the area. Horrified by the thought of Witherspoon so we thought we'd try here. The food was cheap and poor, bar dark and dingy. Well the toilets were very clean. That's about all we can say.

Booked online simply because it was close to Stonehenge and we had tickets for stone circle access at sunrise the next morning. Dear god. My daughter was in TEARS and threatened to walk to a Holiday Inn (in hindsight, we should have left, and lost the money for the rooms). They charged us for our room when we checked in....
