When we arrived we discovered that a table had not been reserved for us. Stacey, the manager was very apologetic and helpful, sourcing a table for myself and my friends. She remained calm and was not phased by this situation, especially when another table had to be fitted in for another group of people. She came out to update us every few minutes. As our preorder for food had not been recorded, she did her very best to make sure we were all happy with the food on offer to us. Although our reservation may not have been ready when we arrived, Stacey and her team made sure we felt very welcome and this has helped to ensure that we will book another night/event at the hotel. Thank you Stacey and team

We had a two day Golf break with three rounds of golf for around £300 and on the face of it that’s quite good value. However the place is let down by the food. Particularly the breakfast, they have a double self-service counter, The left hand counter has everything that you would want on a cooked breakfast with sausages, bacon , fried eggs , beans, mushrooms and tomatoes. Unfortunately there is not enough room on the overhead heated area to heat everything, consequently anything on the front row is stone cold and because they seem to cook only once every morning by the look of it the stuff on the back is dried out. The first day I had breakfast the hashbrowns were cold along with the mushrooms tomatoes and sausages. My golfing partner wanted to put everything on his plate and ask them to microwave it . The second day I just couldn’t face it was really cold, The fried eggs about 10 of them on the plate were completely dried out but cold and I just asked the lady if she would eat them she seem to be surprised that I was asking and just looked at them in amazement, but then took them off and into the kitchen, they came back two minutes later - the very same eggs presumably had been zapped in the microwave! At that point I just gave up what’s the point? There are two heated areas on that service area and the right-hand one is used only for fruit and croissants why on earth don’t they switch them both on and keep all the food warm - only cook what is needed for the next half hour and then keep on cooking until Service is over keeping food out that length of time is ridiculous and I’ve never seen bacon cooked that way folded in half what’s that about? The evening meals were reasonable although asking for a £3.50 supplement for the plate of cheese was ridiculous. The amount of cheese that came on the plate was minuscule. We did have to send the beefburgers back because they were burnt and the lady said the chef apologised because he was on his break and he would never have sent them out as they were Most of the staff were very attentive throughout the stay and I would particularly point out Chloe in the restaurant who was very entertaining and the young lady on reception who likes to sing karaoke but only to herself :-) The lads in the golf shop were great.

Beautiful hotel, peaceful area. Stayed for 2 nights on the Cadbury World Package with my husband and 2 sons. Great value for money. Breakfast and evening meal very impressive. Staff were all brilliant. Very good with my children especially my 18month old who is very busy. Special mention goes to the colleague from Lithuania. We will definitely be returning!
