Great deal booked through Secret Escapes with Dinner, Bed & Breakfast included. We got a Privilege Room and a bottle of wine also in with with deal. We arrived late afternoon on a Sunday with the intention of sorting out end of year accounts out for each of our small businesses and then using the pool facilities before dinner. Emily greeted us on reception and we could not compliment her highly enough... She was friendly and welcoming and ensured we had everything we needed for our stay. She organised our parking arrangements, our free welcome drink through the loyalty app and was always present on the lobby throughout the evening. She has a sense of fun and is totally the right person for front of house. Having worked hotel reception myself I appreciate everything she and the guys on the bar/kitchen did for us as it was very quiet in the hotel and whilst they could have sat around being disengaged, they all didn't, they each busied themselves throughout the evening and made us feel very confortable. We were that engrossed in our laptops that we missed the last entry to the pool at 7pm unfortunately but we aimed to get up early and use the pool in the morning! Dinner was delicious and again the guys in the lobby served us immaculately. Absolutely faultless service all round. The only reason we've given the review 4/5 was due to the hotel decor being slightly tired beyond the lobby which itself is beautiful and creates a lovely first impression. Whilst our Privilege Room was spacious with extra touches such as a coffee machine, fridge with free drinks and an extra large bed, the carpet was old and worn and there was areas where dust had built up and not removed with the daily cleans of the room such as the back of the shaving mirror that is reflected in the main bathroom mirror and also on the bedside lampstands. This didn't detract from how clean everything else was though. All in all everything else was amazing value for money on the deal! Would recommend and stay again!…

Had a one night stay here with my family and wished we could have stayed longer the hotel was beautiful the room spacious and very clean food fantastic and even though there was to events on we were sat in the bar area and it was still such a calming place to be. They had a singer on in the bar which was really nice to sit there and listen to him will definetly be coming back. And all the staff were really nice and couldnt do enough for us

Hi Mercure Hotel at Haydock has been lovely. My parents stayed there and we met them for a lovely meal. We were looked after in the restaurant by a young lady (dark hair) who was just friendly helpful and lovely despite being rushed off her feet. Sharon & Tom in the bar were quick efficient and friendly. Perfect serving every time. Then Andy, singing, playing piano & guitar He just kept us entertained Such lovely music had me singing along. We all felt looked after and catered for. Meal was delicious and wine certainly drinkable. Thank you to the entire team that made tonight special. You have no idea how important tonight was with my parents, but you all still made it exceptional even though you had no idea how much of an impact it would have on us.

Came for afternoon tea with my mum and nan. Michele and Sharon were great servers, they couldn’t do enough. Connor and Mark were very welcoming. Very nice food and enjoyed the atmosphere, a very lovely lounge area.

I have just been to the Mercure Hotel Haydock for Mother’s Day with my mum and sister, we had a lovely time, the atmosphere was beautiful with the musician playing appropriate, soothing music, we met the restaurant manager David who went above and beyond to ensure everyone especially the mothers where treated to an exceptional experience and happy day, we look forward to coming again to see David especially Thankyou
