I arrived late, 11:00pm, no problem whatsoever, a warm and friendly welcome from Erika and the staff, nothing was too much trouble. After a good nights sleep in a very comfortable bed and pleasant room I enjoyed a hearty breakfast accompanied by the once again 'nothing is too much trouble' attitude. I was visiting family for just a couple of...

The Finnygook is a nice enough play to stay for one or a few nights. The rooms are clean and compact and decor is OK. Perfectly fine for a double room costing £45 per night. I found the staff to be friendly and food of a decent standard, although perhaps a little pricey for the starters. The atmosphere is very...

A must place to go. The food is excellent. An old Cornish Inn, log fire the lot, lovely views looking over Plymouth Sound and out to Dartmoor. Near lovely surfing beaches. The Food is locally sauced, beutifully cooked and not expensive at all around £14 for the sunday roast, they also do tasty vegitarian food for us veggies. I would...

Visited on 12th June with members of family. Staff greeted us warmly and showed us to a lovely table in a restaurant with a lively atmosphere. The selection of food was extensive and when it arrived it was lovely. If you are nearby give it a go, it's worth it.

This was our 2nd visit to the Finnygook It was an unexpected busy Tuesday night for the staff and they were rushed off their feet but were still attentive and friendly, we did have a little wait but if you want a ping meal go to KFC. The food was excellent, even a gluten free option. It was nice to...

Recently visited Finnygook for a meal with my boyfriend and was so impressed by the staff, decor, views and the food. We arrived by the wrong entrance so were a bit cautious when walking in but once inside the restaurant space is perfect for a relaxed meal. It's a classy place with attention to detail and the staff are brilliant....

We have just returned from a weekend break and stayed at the Finneygook inn. This was our first visit to this part of Cornwall due to meeting friends to celebrate a 21st birthday. We needed somewhere to stay close by to them and Finneygook fitted the bill. We are so pleased we found this special place, the location and most...

After a train journey that was supposed to take five and a half hours from Lancing in West Sussex to Plymouth, we finally arrive at the Finnygook at 8pm, a...

This was a night's stay on the Coastal Path, a short walk up from Portwrinkle. It was very friendly at every stage of our stay with a very good dinner menu choice in a pleasant environment. One of the best pub dinners on the walk!
