This was our first stay at this pub and we can highly recommend it. Helen and Luke, the new managers were very welcoming and friendly. They had only been working there three weeks but everything seems to run smoothly. Our room was a good size and the bathroom was huge with an amazing shower. The instructions for working the shower...

This used to be a warm and welcoming old pub at the heart of a Cornish Village where we enjoyed a winter warm by the open fire and mingling with fellow locals from around the area. Now refurbished for the second home set it has all the warmth and charm of a railway station cafe with a manager who has...

Know this pub well and loved how it has been done up. However our evening meal was spoilt by a rude manager and his lack of compromise when dealing with someone in our party that had a gluten allergy. We also had a soup that was served up tasteless and cold. Very poor choices for gluten free customers.

I do not usually review restaurants however, I felt that the restaurant at the halfway house inn that we stumbled across deserved a review as we had such a great experience. We arrived locally and were just taking a wander around and popped in for a little drink, late afternoon. The atmosphere was really lovely. staff were friendly and the...

We arrived just before lunch service stopped and were told we were just in time! Three of us had fish and chips, delicious fresh white cod in crisp batter and excellent chips accompanied by home made tartare sauce. My husband had ham eggs and chips, enormous slices of ham and the same crisp fat chips. A really good lunch with efficient service.

Stayed at this inn last Friday, very clean & tidy, very friendly staff, & an excellent restaurant. Dog friendly (eat in the bar which was no hassle). Will definitely stay again if we are back down in this lovely part of the world again.

Visited this well decorated pub for a weekend lunch. Service finishes at the strike of 2 on a Saturday. Tasty lunch but with a price tag of £7 - £8 for sandwiches. Chips were £3 for a small dish (similar price to Steins flagship restaurant in Padstow), but we were charged £6.50 for 2 portions. Then a service charge was...

We booked a twin room at short notice on Sunday afternoon after a mix-up with our pre-booked room nearby. Vanessa was brilliant - really helpful, got me an iron/i.board, made sure a hairdryer was in the room. We stayed in a nicely decorated twin room with comfortable beds, and an ensuite shower room - it looked recently renovated. The shower...
