Just got back from a lovely short stay at the Penrose. Stayed with my husband and 5 month old baby in one of the family rooms. I must say that what makes this place so special is Chris and Heidi. They are a lovely couple who make you feel at home as soon as you walk in the door and...

We stayed at The Penrose as we had a wedding reception to attend at the golf club. The dogs were made welcome and our room (3) had a wonderful view. We ordered our breakfast choice for the following morning and they were well cooked and plentiful indeed. There was a wide range of delicious jams, breads, cereals and fruit on...

We have stayed In many hotels/ bed and breakfasts, and despite the majority being really good; there has always been a fault of some description. That was until we stayed at the Penrose. We can find no fault at all. Chris and Heidi have this place sown up. Perfects hosts, perfect breakfasts, perfect and immaculate room and view over Lostwithiel,...

This is a seven bed roomed Victorian house on the edge of the village of Lostwithiel and is conveniently situated for the pubs and shops. The owners are very friendly, welcoming and ready for a chat. Our room was a self catering flat, complete with kitchen-diner, with its own ground floor entrance. The accommodation is spotlessly clean, very well and...

Hello Eve Thank you for your kind words, and we are very pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. We work hard to try and give everyone a holiday to remember, and a 'home away from home'. With regard to the eggs there is much inconsistency with the cooking of boiled and poached eggs - we grill everything for breakfast...

We stayed at Penrose for 2 nights. The reception we received was superb, Chris and Heidi were so welcoming. The room was amazing and the view from the window was magical. Breakfast was spot on. I would recommend to all. Though next to a road the area is so peaceful but there was the occasional heavy lorry go past after...

We stayed at Penrose B&B for 7 nights and it was by far the best B&B we've ever stayed in. Our room was the one at the top of the house with lovely views across the town, a large spacious bathroom with soaps, shampoos and body lotion all provided, and a very well thought out drinks tray. Breakfast was served...
