Stayed here on our first night walking on the southwest coast path. This was a lovely, friendly and relaxing place, with super welcoming hosts. A great place bring our dogs, they have an enclosed field where the dogs can run free! Great breakfast to set us up for the walk! Homemade produce from happy hens. Would have been good to...

What a gorgeous place set in the countryside with birds singing. Sandy and Gary are lovely nothing is too much trouble. The room was very welcoming, with plenty of space and a huge shower. Great outside area to sit in and just relax. Lovely meadow to exercise our dog Inca. Very substantial breakfast. Sally is very knowledgeable about the area...

Gary & Sandy are excellent hosts - very welcoming and knowledgeable of the area. The room was clean and comfortable and fitted out to a high standard. Good range of choices for breakfast. Plenty of outdoor seating both in the meadow and close to the accommodation. Very friendly homely atmosphere. Our second visit and will be back!

Stayed here for a couple of nights and couldn't feel more welcomed, offered coffee and cake on arrival, lovely clean, large rooms, very nice breakfast all in an informal atmosphere, plenty of room for the dogs to run about all fenced in so no worries about them getting out to explore. We have two very large dogs and they were...

Sandy and Gary made us feel welcome, comfortable and at home. The room was spacious, spotless, cosy and very well-appointed. They looked after us very well, with fresh milk in the fridge, and lending us a local walking map and books. Our dog Ivor had great fun playing with Monza the resident golden retriever, and we could relax and let...

Everything about the Hen House completely exceeded our expectations; the beautiful tranquil setting, the spacious room plus a proper kitchen, the spotlessly clean bathroom, and the large and very comfortable bed. The garden is beautiful and we loved being able to sit outside our room with a glass of wine relaxing and soaking up nature. But more than all that,...

As a rule, we don't tend to repeat holidays (the world is too big!) but the Hen House is worth bending the rules for, so this was our second year (first stay in 2015, at Easter). We're a couple with dog, and the Hen House is perfect for a quiet, rural, friendly stay. We stayed in the self catering barn,...

My husband and I (and our two dogs) stayed at the hen house for four nights, enjoying the warm welcome, relaxed atmosphere and beautiful location. We'd picked the Hen House for its proximity to St. Anthony and the boat yard where we moored our boat for the duration. We hadn't expected to find an enjoyable heaven that would feel like...

We stayed at The Hen House for 7 nights in the self-catering room with breakfast included. Gary and Sandy were warm and welcoming throughout the week and their knowledge of the area was in depth and fantastically quirky (just what we needed!) The setting of The Hen House (with a large meadow, ducks and hens, hot-tub and area's to see...

Lived up to everything we expected (and some). Wonderful piece of heaven in a beautiful part of the country. Sandy & Gary are great hosts that manage to advise places of interest, dog friendly beaches and restaurants. We ate out each night and tried The Five Pilchards, Prince Of Wales, Helzaphron & The Ship Inn - all advised by Gary...
