From the moment you arrive, your car is valet parked & bags taken to your room. There is no formal 'Reception Desk' but instead you relax with a coffee/tea/light refreshment whilst a member of staff takes your details and gives you a tour of the hotel facilities/pools/spa et al ( the tour can be taken at any time if you...

Everything about The Scarlet is perfect. The relaxed and welcoming arrival and the amazing views set the scene for a brilliant stay. Nothing is too much for any of the staff, who are very friendly but not intrusive. Time seems to stand still at The Scarlet and forces you to relax and slow down. Even a visit for lunch feels...

Firstly, this is a really great hotel. Absolutely brilliant in fact. The hotel clings to a cliff above a beautiful bay. The views are stunning. We had a ground floor garden room. It was simple and sublime. Supper was divine: well chosen menu and very well cooked. Breakfast was equally good. Why was it not perfect? Two small but significant...

This is an expensive hotel which usually means a bit stuffy. Not at all. This is a beach resort. Sandals are the norm. Staff are cool surfing dudes and there is not a tie in sight. But it's very high quality. The very attractive public areas are stuffed with great artworks. The furniture is odd but comfortable. The gardens are...

We stayed here for three nights as part of our Minimoon. It's a fabulous little eco hotel that isn't too 'hippie-ish'. The rooms were perfect with gorgeous sea views. The best thing for us is we found it just as beautiful in the rain as it was in the sunshine. the valet parking was a nice touch and the relaxed...

As this is our second visit and my first review was 'excellent', I was expecting to write the same this time.... but sadly although the setting and hotel are of a very good standard, the restaurant really needs to up its game. Forgotten soup spoon and only brought after we eventually caught the eye of a waiter. Poorly cooked fish...

We have been to The Scarlet numerous times and it's still our go-to place for somewhere special to unwind. We always take our dogs with us so we possibly don't get to be fully ensconced in the complete tranquility of this hotel, but we always return home feeling fully relaxed. Having dogs also 'forces' us to walk along the beautiful...

Thank you for your lovely words. We understand how lovely it is to be able to bring your canine companions along with you and it can be as good for the soul as any spa treatment to stroll along the coastal path or beach. We look forward to welcoming you back for your next visit. Kind regards Leanne Barlow House...

An eco hotel without being too in your face. Valet parking on arrival. We received a really friendly warm and informative welcome, check in is done on a couch in the front reception area with tea/coffee offered straight away. No front desk to make things more informal. You can't help but notice the amazing view out to sea at the...

All rooms, with balconies, are comfortable and look out to the sea and for May we experienced sunshine, stormy and windy days. A typical English May Bank Holiday. There is a wonderful spa, swim inside or outside, choice of spa treatments or sit in a hot tub on the cliffs over looking the beach. Great place to watch the surfers...

Sounds like you experienced all the seasons whilst you were with us; there is nothing quite like watching mother nature from the cosiness of the hotel. Thank you for taking the time to review the Scarlet and we look forward to welcoming you back to the hotel in the near future. Kind regards Leanne Barlow House Manager

We have just returned from a fabulous 3 day spa break at The Scarlett. It was a very special birthday and The Scarlett fitted the bill perfectly. Stunning location looking out over Mawgan Porth . The spa treatment was exceptional, a very personal journey and a wonderful massage. Loved the experience of sitting in the hot tub overlooking the bay....
