The Penarth guest house is clean and the rooms well furnished. But it is the welcoming hosts and the wonderful breakfast which make it such a special place to stay. Nothing is too much trouble for Mike, and you really feel as though you are staying with friends. There is a breath-taking amount of choice for breakfast and everything is...

You get an excellent greeting and "Cornish Welcome" from Mike who makes you feel instantly at home. For eating out there is a pub just up the road, and down the bottom of the hill is the Britannia Inn, easily walk-able provided you are capable once you leave the pub. The 10% discount (where Mike gives you a signed card)...

After deciding to visit the Eden project last minute we looked for accommodation that was close by,we booked the Penarth for its close proximity. We did not look at any of the reviews and arrived with no expectations so we were hugely surprised by the warm welcome from Mike despite our late arrival. We were shown to a beautiful room...

It is situated on a main road giving easy access to anywhere in Cornwall. There is ample parking and Mike the owner is very accommodating without being...

I can't recommend this b&b enough. We stayed for 2 nights for our first Cornwall trip from Lincolnshire and will be staying again! Excellent host, from the moment we walked in we felt welcome, relaxed and comfortable. We stayed in the Double suite and it was spotless. The breakfast was incredible and really enjoyed speaking to our host Mike, who...

Reading all the reviews posted here, I think we might have encountered the host on not such a good couple of days. We didn't experience the "charisma" that has been described, and I'm not sure that he would have put himself out for us, but maybe he was tired at the end of a long holiday season. However, we did...
