Hi, Drunk in this pub a Lot in early 1992. It was cold and glum. Only pub close to B&B. It's changed a great deal, very welcoming with polite friendly staff. Went for a meal on a Friday night with friends. Food was good but wife and friends scallops starter was very small. I had turbot this was also a...

On holiday in Cornwall we went to this pub for lunch after a walk on the amazing beach at Whitsand Bay. We parked and I popped in to ask if our dog could go in. Absolutely and we will bring you a dog bowl of water ! They were so friendly. Service was impeccable. The food was to die for....

My husband and I ate here on Friday eve and were really impressed. I had been a couple of weeks previously for a friends birthday dinner that was also very good. The food is of great quality, delicious and worth every penny. The interior is cosy and I love the artwork on the walls and the quirky decorations. The landlords...

We spent 3 nights at the Halfway House. Lovely pub, room and excellent hosts. Food is really good. As well as our 3 breakfasts we ate twice in the restaurant. Would definitely go again and the village is also really lovely.

Went here for the first time on Friday evening for a meal with my wife. How refreshing to find at last a first class pub/restaurant. Great hospitality in delightful cosy surroundings. Top quality food, generous portions, great service, the landlord is a true professional and we will be returning soon. Very well done.

My friends had booked the meal as we wanted to check out how the new owners had changed things. A previous visit under the old owners, had left us leaving after three quarter of an hour without placing and order for food. This time we were not disappointed. The welcome was friendly and the venue now very pleasant. The food...

We visited this venue for the first time although the couple we went with had been before and recommended it. The food is homemade and the choice is brilliant. I had hot scotch egg to start and it was amazing as was the scampi and chips to follow. Everything was well presented, hot and the staff were also very good....
