Popped in here on a Sunday night for a meal. It was relatively busy. We both went for a carvery. The beef was so tender. I'm not a beef fan but it looked so good and I wasn't disappointed! Excellent service. Excellent quality. Excellent value!

Staff friendly enough, room small but clean, but oh god the food was dreadful - possibly the most abused steak I've ever had - cooked to dessication and the wine made me feel ill. The bar was like a terrible parody of a Berni Inn from the 70s. Sorry, but Cornwall has so many many nicer places. I'm opting for...

So this is our place we go for our annual family New years day meal, and usually its a excellent carvery and great friendly staff, however this time was a little disappointing, the roast potatoes were over cooked and very hard, the pigs in blankets some were burnt. The usually friendly staff serving the carvery looked like she hated being...

Recently had a Carvery here with friends, the service was as good as ever and the food was Brilliant. The Room was very tastefully festive which, I worked her 21 years and after all these years the place still looks great and serves good food which is value for money. See you next time we are down!

I'm afraid that although the staff here were nice, this is a really dated, tired hotel. It smells incredibly strongly of over cooked cabbage on the ground floor, to the point of being quite unpleasant, and the bedrooms are also dated, with rather puny showers and paper thin walls. It was £80 for a double, which I thought was very...

“Our room was at the front with traffic rushes past. However, that dies down at night. Perhaps a room at the back would be preferrable.”
