The Lansdowne offer high end bed and breakfast at very reasonable prices. If you're looking to stay somewhere that feels like home, but home with staff that are highly professional and also friendly and approachable then you'll love the Lansdowne.
Our hosts Mark and Marnie went out of their way to make our stay an enjoyable one. The rooms were spacious, tastefully furnished and spotless. The central location was ideal for us as we were doing Family History in Cornwall and Mark was able to...More
The welcome was warm, the rooms were tastefully furnished and spotless and nothing was too much trouble. Mark, the owner was friendly and always helpful - he got us vegetarian sausages and served an additional breakfast for our friend who wasn't staying at the hotel....More

John & Susan, If you cannot get a room at the Lansdowne, try the Penventon Park Hotel, They often have offers on which incluse an evening meal and cream tea with a short break. We've stayed there too. its a lot bigger and has more facilities but we didn't get time to use them as we were also visting family. Don't be put off by the 3* rating, it should be higher but as its an old building they can't get the lifts in that are needed to be rated higher. Its quite grand with a piano player in the dining room in the evening. The Penvention & Lansdowne are both close to the train station and easy to tget to. pauline

"Probably quietest at the back as was mine. View of Carn Brea in the distance."
