After a tough year, we were looking forward to returning to Driftwood and, as in our previous visits, everything met our expectations. Aptly named, because our stress levels just drifted away as soon as we stepped out of the car! Everything here is done in a most professional yet understated way and the accommodating staff could not have done more...

We eat out at a lot of fine dining restaurants but this is a meal I can still taste. The food was absolutely incredible as was the atmosphere and the service. We will drive the 6 hours to get here & pay for an overnight stay simply to eat at The Driftwood once more.

Spent three nights at Driftwood and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms are a delight and the food excellent (well done chef). This is a place to stay and relax for a few days, enjoy the beautiful sea and country views and also the wonderful cliff walks from the garden to the Nare in one direction or...

Gifted this weekend away it was heavily recommended and did not disappoint. The hotel is delightful but not ostentatious, room 2 was recommended and is undoubtedly the best for sea views. Comfortable bed on pleasant room with 3 windows with sea in all of them. Modestly sized but this is not meant to be that kind of luxury. The staff...

We live locally but my partner surprised me with an overnight stay here for my birthday and what an absolute treat it was! The hotel is beautiful, classy, unpretentious......just perfect. Our room was large with lovely views out to sea, the bed was exceptionally comfy. Decent sized bathroom with shower over bath and luxury REN toiletries. The only suggestion I...

Thank you so much, we are delighted that you enjoyed yourselves so much. With regard to the tea making facilities, we think it nicer to have someone make it for you but we are always happy to put a tea tray in the room on request. I hope we will see you again.

A stunning setting, warm & welcoming staff and superb food and wine. Beautiful public rooms and bedrooms; all well-appointed and scrupulously clean. The tasting menu of eight courses and accompanying wine is outstanding. The cliff-side gardens, above the SW Coastal Path, have many wonderful seating areas looking out to Portscatho to the west and Nare Head to the east. The...

I was seriously considering not sharing this with you all. However, I'd not be doing justice to the great people of Driftwood by keeping it secret, so here's a whisper to the discerning....it's great! Fabulous food (Michelin rated), a lovely fresh & informal atmosphere, breathtaking taking coastal location and professional, kind people who seem to actually care about your stay...

The Driftwood has once again hit the spot. It's just so good that we can't help but return to this gem of a hotel. The food is just what you would expect from a Michelin Star Restaurant. The staff as always are brilliant.

We visited in off-season, and I think this is the best time. A friendly welcome, a pleasant room, a most georgeous dinner (at acceptable prices, the service made it up), a superb location, I can only recommend to drop by and see for yourself.

Visited this for a special occasion. Room, as forewarned, was very small, and a little difficult to negotiate due to a lack of headspace. Both my wife and I are 5' 8" and found this difficult so taller people would struggle. However this was the only downside of the hotel. The location was idyllic and the views outstanding. The quality...

Thank you, I am pleased you enjoyed yourselves, and yes the room is small, it is the smallest we have but does have lovely sea views. I hope we will see you again and please, ask for one of our larger room.
