What an amazing 3 night break. Staff were friendly and so accommodating. Slight confusion with the room we booked but that was not their fault (booking.com made the mistake). Breakfast was hearty and served by some lovely ladies that looked after us. The room had great views for watching the sun rise. We are looking forward to return soon. Thanks...

We stayed here last night for NYE. We booked into the guest house which is part of the pub. The accomodation on first impression looked lovely, however...when I went to put our bits and bobs away in the bathroom we discovered a USED ear bud in the cabinet!! Not too impressed at that. We left it there, as it was...

Went here for a drink to see the new year in with my hubby. Lovely jolly atmosphere and as usual very friendly staff. There was a DJ and a lovely firework display at midnight outside in their gardens. The fireworks were impressive. The whole evening was great and people seemed to have a fab time. Well done to the managers...

Went to the Rashleigh for a carvery last Sunday and I must say we were surprised. The content of the meal was standard, but very good. The only thing was the Yorkshire puddings left a lot to be desired, they tended to be rather chewy, perhaps they should use ready cooked puddings. Apart from that the rest of the meal...

The hotel is set in the lovely location of Charlestown and filming of Poldark was taking place at the harbour just down the road when we arrived. The car park is made up of rough cobbles and full of pot holes, so it's an unpleasant experience to park - though some might say it has character! The hotel is old...

Stayed here for one night in their new accommodation. Very friendly welcome and the room was excellent. The only minor issue is with phone service which is hit and miss. Food in the bar/restaurant was very well presented and good value. It is in a lovely location and would certainly stay here again.

We spent four nights at the Rashleigh Arms whilst staying in the area to visit the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project. Our room was in the T'gallants building just down the street and I didn't book in time to get a room with a harbour view, but our room was very comfortable although the shower was a...

Fantastic Accommodation, excellent bedroom, extremely comfortable beds. Dinner 1st class, the calamari starter was to die for! I would stay there again just for that. Staff were fantastic, the young lady who showed us to our room could have offered to carry my wife's small bag! Location ideal for our visit to the Lost Gardens of Heligan. It was also...

We stayed here for a couple of nights recently whilst touring in the area and had dinner here on one of the nights, plus two breakfasts. The staff were very pleasant, the food is good and the decor is contemporary. Everything in the room seemed very clean, however although we had a superior room it was incredibly small. The bed...

We had a very large room -- I wish they were all that large! We are able to spread everything out! The shower was nice and the towels were good. It was very quiet at night too! Nice linens as well. I believe our room was called "Gig".

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Rashleigh Arms was built in 1851 on the foundations of old clay cellars and was given its name after the creator of Charlestown Harbour, formerly West Polmear, Charles Rashleigh. It also boasts probably one of the only Grade II listed car parks in the country, basically the site of old coal storage yards, and is situated in a World Heritage Site. The Rashleigh is ideally positioned in central Cornwall and provides an excellent jump off point for lots of great attractions with the world famous Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan within five miles radius. We are also within sight of the historic Tall Ships and Charlestown harbour, a world heritage site and an attraction in itself. The Pub has moved with times and although over 150 years old boasts eight four star gold rated rooms, a public bar, popular with the locals that shows all live sport and has great bands every fortnight. Our lounge bar is fantastic for relaxing in with large leather sofas and armchairs with a touch of historic Charlestown. The restaurant is modern, open plan and serves locally sourced food from 12 - 9pm every day; and if the weather's good our patio and garden is the ideal place to spend a few hours or more! ... more   less
