Excellent in every respect, beautiful house beautifully presented, breakfast truly five-star. The owners themselves are an inspiration, and delightful hosts. They created the house from scratch, and the building itself is beautifully built and furnished with great taste and simplicity. Recommended wholeheartedly.

We have been back so often that we count Kath & Ivan as good friends. This is a great location to chill and we have often done so with a warm welcome from our host and hostess, immaculate accomodation providing everything you could wish for and breakfasts which are wonderful. The sticky fruit (I called it stewed the first time...

Gardens Cottage is owned and run by Ivan and Kath, two lovely people who are outstanding hosts. It is their pride and joy and this comes through in exceptional quality of everything about the experience of staying with them. The rooms, garden and every other aspect of the property itself is gorgeous, and if you don't come away thinking how...

My wife and I have just returned from an amazing 2 night relaxing break at Gardens Cottage accompanied by friends. The accommodation surpassed all our expectations, the Garden Room we stayed in was nothing more than luxurious with its' super king sized bed walk in cureved shower and underfloor heating. The attention to detail was second to none from crisp...

We stayed at Gardens Cottage for two nights in May 2011. This must be the most luxurious bed and breakfast anyone could wish to stay in. The garden room was lovely with a super king size bed, beautiful crisp bed linen and huge while fluffy towels in the bathroom. The breakfast was unbelievable with every fruit you could thing of,...

This is a fabulous b&b, with unusual architecture and very comfortable rooms with their own individual garden area. Breakfast is all home-made and delicious. The welcome couldn't have been warmer and nothing was too much trouble. This was a perfect 2-night stay.

This place is truly a gem - classed as bed and breakfast but with a BIG difference! We found it easily enough and we were not disappointed with our first impressions. A wonderful restoration lovingly done with all the charm one would expect. The attention to detail was amazing - more than a home from home, I wanted to move...

My partner and I have just returned from a two night break at Gardens Cottage, and found that it more than lived up to the expectations we had, based on their excellent web site. We stayed in a courtyard room which was charming and had a spotless modern bathroom and walk in shower. Our room was one of three which...

I cannot deny that this is a beautiful property in a delightful setting. The garden is stunning. The room we were booked into was the garden room which took full advantage of the view. However, we were very conscious of the owner who is very eager to please but we felt stifled. Everyone is different, but we found the service...

Set in a green garden, next to the walled garden of a big house, with ornamental standing stones, and visited by a woodpecker and a pheasant, this beautifully constructed extension to the owners' own home is peaceful and yet exhilarating. You enter the glass roofed dining area where a wisteria weaves its way across the walls, and are greeted by...

“The rooms are all lovely but the Garden Room is amazing - size, Italian bathroom fittings, wet room and the view. Sit up in bed and watch the woodpecker on the bird feeder - brilliant”
