Our brief stay at Redgate was just faultless. Incredibly welcoming to both us and our Irish Terrier Finley, nothing is overlooked. Julie and Clive have created the perfect b&b where every detail has been attended to to make your stay super comfortable for you and your pet. Add to that the most extensive and delicious breakfast menu perfectly cooked, what...

Just back from a short break to Cornwall made so much more enjoyable by the amazing attention to detail that Clive and Julie pour into their dream business. They are a 5* team! Many hotels and B& B's now claim to be dog friendly but pay lip service to the needs of their 4 legged friends...the moment you arrive at...

This was our second visit to Redgate Smithy and it was just as I remembered it - wonderful. Julie and Clive are extremely welcoming and have thought of everything from a cup of tea and cake on arrival to a fan in the bedroom because the weather had been hot. Not only are human guests made to feel at home,...

This was our second stay at the Smithy. Julie and Clive offer such a good welcome it is hard to resist going back. You always get the impression that nothing is too much trouble and everything is done with a smile. Dogs are greeted as guests and just as important as the humans, although I think Mac and Bow were...

Just returned from a beautiful 2-night stay at Redgate Smithy with our two dogs. Clive and Julie offer a fabulous welcome with a pot of tea, cup of coffee or a cold drink, and a delicious treat to end a long journey. We stayed in the double en-suite and the room was both immaculate and afforded us every possible creature...

Was extremely dog friendly and we were given a very warm welcome by Julie and Clive. Had a nice pot of tea in the garden on arrival and our dog was able to run safely in the garden. Had a wide choice of breakfast in the morning. My husband chose the full Cornish which turned out to be huge, glad...

Redgate Smithy is an absolutely fabulous B&B where you, and your dog, are immediately made to feel welcome. Our hosts, Julie and Clive, gave us an extremely warm welcome as did their gorgeous dog, Brydy. After we had been shown to our room and had a chance to settle in, a pot of tea and home-made cake was waiting for...

My wife and I ( and our Cocker Spaniel) spent 2 nights in the Garden room with private bathroom. Clive and Julie were out to greet us within moments of pulling onto the drive. You could not wish for friendlier hosts. After showing us to our room we sat outside in the wonderful garden with a pot of tea and...

“We love the garden room best of all. Although it's not en suite its private bathroom is 3 steps away. It's on the small side but no matter...the bed is very comfortable and the garden view beautiful. There are also a double with en suite and a twin with en suite.”
