Had such a warm, friendly welcome as soon as we arrived. The landlord and landlady could not do enough for us to make our stay more enjoyable. The atmosphere in the bar was brilliant with some live music and candles everywhere making our evening very special. We were served some excellent food, we had the sea bass and the southern...

Booked to stay for one night, as was just a fleeting visit. Have stayed in st Kevern many times before, so thought we would give the three tuns a try. Payed £80 for the night, which was to include breakfast, was also told the musicwould stop at midnight.. Lies! It finished at just after 1 am and had got louder...

Avoid this place like the plague. Grubby carpets in dining area, no stair carpet and dirty dusty stairs, beds not made on 3 occasions, third rate breakfast (and sour milk for the tea one morning), black mould in shower cubicle. We felt that the landlords did not have the first idea about accommodation.

We had to ask for towels, there are damp stains on the walls, loo roll and soap dispensers were more suited to a public lavatory. All of this we could have tolerated, if we had been given any breakfast. We came down shortly after 8.30 to be told that breakfast had finished. No-one had told us breakfast times and 7.30-8.30...

This is a family run B&B, friendly, helpful and quite simply fun! The room was comfortable, I stayed with my young son, spacious, clean and generous hospitality. The pub offers a simple and honest menu. We both had their burgers and they were fresh and delicious. The cider was kicking too. My young son has some learning difficulties and everyone...

OK, the first thing to realise is that this pub-with-rooms isn't IN Helston (which is what my online booking service indicated) its about 11 miles from the town.... this isn't a problem, but perhaps worth knowing. The pub is very pleasant looking from the outside, lots of flowers, adjacent to the Church in a small market square. This provides the...

We had to book this hotel last minute whilst actually travelling down to Cornwall, three friends just going away for a quick break, we found this place, and we couldn't argue with the price, and the fact the pictures made it look good! We had a warm welcome considering Chris didn't know we were coming as we had booked it...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Three Tuns is a family-friendly pub in the heart of St Keverne, on the beautiful Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall, which was recently voted one of the best places to live in the UK by the Sunday Times. We serve coffee and cake from 10am daily, with food available to order from our menu between 12 noon and 9pm, seven days a week. A special Sunday roast is also available between 12 noon and 3pm, using beef reared on the peninsula - booking recommended. Dogs on leads are welcomed in the bar and there is free WiFi throughout. Upstairs there are five newly-refurbished lettings rooms: three doubles, a king size and a family room, which all come with breakfast included. We are within walking distance from a number of pretty coves, including dog-friendly Porthallow and one of the best diving spots in the UK, Porthkerris, the gateway to the famous Manacles and their many shipwrecks. St Keverne is less than five miles from Goonhilly Downs, a Site of Special Scientific Interest and part of the wider Lizard National Nature Reserve, which hosts many rare plants and flowers. It is also just a 20-minute drive from the market town of Helston, home to the world-famous Flora Dance each May. The village itself hosts the annual Ox Roast festivities, on the first Wednesday of August - a tradition not to be missed! ... more   less
