I have just had the most wonderful stay at the Nare. This hotel is exceptional. The comfort, cleanliness, ambience and attention to detail were superb. Yet what really makes this place so very special is the staff. Without exception everyone I met was so very friendly, yet professional. Nothing was too much trouble, and I was made to feel very...

Our 3rd visit. Superb location on Carne Beach. Excellent food, attentive service and very comfortable room over looking the bay. We had one minor issue that was addressed by the owner on our return. Well located for visiting many gardens, walking the coastal path & attractions e.g. Eden Project.

We were assured by management that some recent poor restaurant reviews had been an unfortunate blip at an exceptionally busy time and that our important family celebration lunch would be fine. So, indeed it was - excellent food, good service (rather too attentive as staff were obviously aware of our previous doubts) and provision of birthday cake accompanied by staff...

Sadly, I have to agree with some of the more unfavourable comments about this hotel. We have been visiting for many years with 3-4 year gaps. It is so peaceful and quiet and convenient for us with the fabulous beach for the dog and the beds are comfortable, not hard, most important. It is in the most wonderful position and...

Have just spent a very pleasant afternoon on the outside terrace of the Nare Hotel quarterdeck, enjoying the full afternoon tea. There was more than enough food, and our waiter was happy to parcel up our leftover shortbread to take home. Although the food was delicious, and the staff very pleasant and efficient, the real star is the view. Cornwall...

Immediate realisation on arrival that the staff were the key to the success of this singularly different hotel. Delightful room with all we required with a view over the back. The hotel is home to an extraordinary collection of modern pictures - prints, etchings and paintings. There are many very interesting photos of old racing yachts and fascinating models of...

In one of the most beautiful locations in Cornwall we had a sea view room with balcony. The views are stunning and lying in bed listening to the waves on the beach is very special. It is such a shame that the interior of the hotel is so disappointing. It is akin to staying with a very aged relative. I...

The first view of the hotel gives one the distinct impression this is not 4 stars. The web pictures of the outside look so much better. The exterior of the building is in need of serious updating, if not renovation. Once you go inside however it is much better and certainly 4 star standard. The lounges are nicely decorated and...
