For those of you who like the Disney Magic Kingdom, you won't like it here. This is the real deal...open your senses to Nature. Situate in a large aspen grove, Sorensens allows you to let go of the techy trappings of life...no wifi, no tv, no phones to speak of (Verizon does work there). Feels like off the grid, but...

We loved our stay at the cabin. It was clean, comfortable, rustic, and we had everything we needed! Great meals at the restaurant, and the surroundings are beautifu! Fall colors, crispy air, camp fire, it was very nice!

Enjoyable well furnished Hope Valley House accommodating three couples and enough room for children, too. The setting is located in 7,000 feet elevation with beautiful and colorful aspens and granite rock formations next to the Carson River. Good dining and rustic cafe on premises.

Tho it was fully booked for losing on our trip, we had a very enjoyable dinner at Sorensens. Good variety of vegetarian and omnivore selections; super friendly staff who dispensed culinary advice, recipes, and hiking recommendations with friendly ease. Cozy dining room with regional art and collectibles. Check them Out! Reservations good idea for dinner, especially in colder months when...

Family owned and run, Sorensen's Resort is open year-round and features 29 log cabins in a compound-like setting. Our cabin was comfortable, with a queen bed, kitchenette, microwave, wood-burning fireplace, loft and bathroom with shower. Forget about with-fi! This is a perfect spot to take a digital vacation. There’s a cafe that’s quite good, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Nice...

We have returned again to Sorensen's, this time at the height of the golden aspen season: fabulous! This resort never fails to leave us exhilarated, refreshed and filled with the peace and beauty of the setting. We stayed in "Willow", and loved the cozy Franklin stove, double beds, and pine-paneled rooms. The Hope Valley gives easy access to numerous absolutely...

Have driven past Sorensen's Resort for many years and have always wanted the experience of staying. Finally got the opportunity when my friend and I decided we wanted to go Candy Dance Craft Fair in Genoa, Nevada but didn't want to stay in the valley. Made your three night reservation and were lucky enough to stay in a cabin, Willow....

There is no better place to relax than Sorensen's Resort. We stayed there for a week during the fall colors of Hope Valley. Our cabin, Norway, has the perfect deck with picnic table, wood burning stove and the MOST comfortable large queen size sofa beds. We never felt we were on a sofa bed and as couches they were large...

We live close to Hope Valley and come up here for lunch occasionally at Sorenson's Resort. My husband has enjoyed the beef stew in the past - but the quiches are amazing. Light and fluffy - my favorite is the Ham and Onion. Service was good (but they are family owned and when busy you will be waiting). We walked...

Our visit was perfect! Every detail was quietly taken care of! A lovely bottle of champagne awaited us in the fridge to help us celebrate our 50th anniversary! Freshly cut kindling arrived on our porch each evening for the cozy woodburning stove in our cabin. Even with management stress due to staffing issues, everyone was helpful and good humored! Kudos...
