Arrived in Byron Bay late afternoon on a Sunday. Had not booked and just walked in. Large room very clean. Owners friendly and nothing too much trouble. Laundry on site and washing line, which is better than a tumble dryer. Decided to stay an extra night so could explore the town and beach. Leave the car and walk as it...

Took 4 turns to turn on the shower tap then it dribbled out. Beds are so very uncomfortable and everything is old, dirty looking and has been well used. Carpets well used, so are the blankets and possibly everything else in the place. 5 minutes after booking out was phoned to tell us they charged our credit card an additional...

Elle and I went to Byron last Friday night on the way to Brisbane and hadn't booked a room. Byron is hectic on Friday and Saturday nights and all we could find was this faded old place. Upon arrival the manager said that he only had one room and it would be $200 for the one night, I asked if...

Stayed here with a friend in a standard room . The room has the most outdated bathroom and cupboards I've ever seen . The carpet had a large Iron burn right in the middle of it . The manager woke me up the first morning to tell me " i have got a problem come outside now " , when...

Motel is old but has everything you need and the rooms are quite a generous size. The managers are a friendly, helpful, happy couple. Made my daughter and i feel so welcome. The room was clean and tidy. Although located on a busy street it wasn't noisy. Would definitely stay again.

We spent 2 nights here. On the plus side, the rooms were large, clean & comfortable and the staff were pleasant people. On the negative side, the place is a little tired and in need of maintenance: our aircon unit didn't work, there was no phone in the room, the plumbing needed attention, and the external noises from far afield...

This has been our worst stay ever in a place were whe paid a staggering $230 a night. The rooms are dirty and outdated. Evering must be dating back from the seventies except the dodgy TV which was clearly bought at Aldi and had bad reception and a dirty sticky remote. The night was terrible. Noisy thin walls so the...

Perfect location for a good price. Walking distance to beach, shops, bars and restaurants. We had a room that slept 3 people for a mini break with my sister and mum. Friendly staff. Room was bigger than we expected and very clean.

After trying to sleep in one of the rooms here I was up all night with water pipes making the loudest sounds every 20mins thought out the night. The bar fridge was so loud it had to be turned off at the wall. The pictures on the internet must of been taken when it was first opened in the 80s

Asked for late check out so we could do the walk to the lighthouse. Asked till 11 which was reasonable with most places I have visited. The manager was not keen and told me his cleaners knock off at 12. gave us till 1030. In summary not helpful or energetic. Did not feel welcome and in fact safe to say...
