So it is a 15-20 min walk from hostel to the main part of town which is ok if you're not carrying your stuff. There is a shuttle that goes in and out of town almost every hour but it does fill up quick- pick up in town is by the noodle box where all the busses drop off ppl...

Getting to the beach/center is quite a hike, even though its not to bad to make the lighthouse walk. but at least there is a shuttle. The rooms were quite dark and small. in our room was someone staying for already a month which you could definitely smell… we had to leave at 8:30am (for the bus) so it was...

Me and a friend stayed at Cape Byron lodge for a week while we were in Byron bay and if it wasn't for the fact we had pre booked our bus in advance we would probably still be there now. Very homely hostel with lots of cool chilled long term residents. Great facility's with free wifi. The perfect place to...

I stayed here over Xmas, it was an 8 bed form but they stuck in another bed and it turned into a 9 bed dorm! The room was horrible! Degusting dorm room, I understand people live there but you couldn't actually see the ground with people's clothes food etc bathrooms wer clean but the shower wasn't very good, nobody was...

The hostel itself was good! A little bit older & a bit dark, but the staff were fantastic ! They hired surfboards for very cheap & provided shuttle busses all day! It's location was only real negative for us! It's still only a 10/15 min walk from Byron town , but annoying when you have shopping bags ect.... We would...

I've stayed here before years ago. I loved it so much that when I came back through Byron I had to come stay here again. I checked in a few weeks ago and haven't left. Having stayed at two other hostels in Byron, I chose to keep coming back to the lodge because it's a smaller hostel where a lot...

This has got to be the weirdest hostel I have ever stayed in, didn't really seem to be alot of people 'travelling' just people who found somewhere they liked and decided to live there. There are people living in vans around the back and all people do all day is walk round without shoes on and smoke a lot of...

Stayed in the dorm room, which was fine - but could have had more power outlets. The place is clean enough, bathroom is just ok. Kitchen - it was confusing that you have to pay a deposit to get plates, cups and cutlery. Weird system.. The wifi only worked occasionally. The pool was very small and not tempting to use....

Clean rooms, bathrooms and kitchen! Nice spacious communal area with book exchange and TV! Free wifi and you can use the laptops in reception. It's a 15/20 min walk to town, but there is a free shuttle bus and you can hire free bikes! There were free pancakes for breakfast which were amazing! Would recommend !
