This is an old pub in town that I drank at during my youth, back then it was a beer soaked country pub. Now that it has been renovated and given some TLC it is one of the best places to stay at that I have ever used. Still has that country pub feel with very friendly staff and fantastic... More

Recommended by some locals we didn't know this pub existed! First impressions were good, beer good, so we ordered a bruschetta to snack on, Lovely! Another whale beer from Murrays brewery, then from tapas menu we had the salt & pepper squid with a chilli jam, ooh so good!! So we had another beer & ordered our mains, schnitzel veal... More

We recently spent a very pleasant night at the Settlers Arms in Dungog. Fiona on reception made us feel very welcome. Our room was very comfortable and easily accessible. We had an excellent dinner at the restaurant in the hotel, courtesy of chef Scott. We would happily stay and eat there again.

One night on business. Travel a lot but have never stayed in a pub before as they usually aren't appealing. Glad the only motel in Dungog was full otherwise I wouldn't have stayed at Settlers Arms and experienced it for the gem it is. Excellent hospitality. Great food. Reasonable selection of tap beers. Had a room with ensuite downstairs. Room... More

We have previously stayed here before, downstairs and did not even realise there was an upstairs! 😊 downstairs was lovely, upstairs not so good. Our upstairs room was very basic (i will point out it was also only $80 a night so we weren't paying a lot), the double bed was very uncomfortable for us both (I know beds are... More

This former pub is now a very tastefully restored as a restaurant and bar. We visited for lunch and had excellent meals. Service was very good - including that the chef came out to discuss which items on the menu were Gluten Free (nearly all as it turned out).

We were staying nearby in Bandon Grove and used Trip Advisor to find the best pub meal in Dungog. Thankfully, the reviewers were spot on! This pub has a really lovely atmosphere. We got there early and had a couple of pre-dinner drinks and a few games of Connect Four before eating a beautiful meal in the dining area. Hubby... More

We stayed in the double shared bathroom room. Really clean and comfortable. Hosts were friendly and accommodating. Dinner by the fire watching the rugby was very enjoyable. We were able to put the motorbike in the shed too.
