Very efficient & friendly staff. Small bar was open Tuesday evening & Sally was delightful as she waited on everyone herself. This hotel is perfect after a day at Longwood Gardens just a short distance away. The rooms are updated and very clean. We would definitely return here.

I used the digital key service to open a dirty and or occupied room. After my discovery I went to the front desk and a staff member essentially said the room could possibly be occupied or never been cleaned. No apology offered. The facts state that housekeeping management needs training along with the desk staff. When I received a new room key I found a room that included one micro- bar of soap the size of my thumbnail. I returned to the desk and ask for soap. Same man as before said he had one bar and housekeeping would give him more in the morning. The tub was old and clearly repaired with some form of putty. I felt like I was staying at a flop house not a Hilton property. On a positive note the breakfast staff were great. I’m sure someone from this location will offer some cliched response about this review. Save your efforts and get your house in order or just close.

This hotel is a bit old, and could use some upkeep. We had a few issues that result in a lower rating. I am a Hilton Honors member, so stay in Hilton properties on many trips. Before we booked our trip, we called the hotel to make sure they had a pool and jacuzzi. We were told they did and booked a room with breakfast included. The first room we were given smelled damp; perhaps the carpet was just cleaned? We moved to another room - 301 at the end of the hall. The phone in this room did not work, so we had to go back to the other room to inform the front desk we would move. The hot water never really got to this end of the building. We could only take a shower with slightly warm water. The pool was closed for maintenance, something we were not told when we called to inquire about the pool before we booked. (Note that we booked the same day as arrival, so they should have known the pool and jacuzzi would not be open.) When we went for breakfast we confirmed with the front desk that we had the breakfast included rate, and ordered our meals. The menu was pretty good, service was good, the food was decent - fresh cooked omelet. However, I later saw a charge for breakfast was processed on my credit card for our breakfasts. I called the hotel and they removed the charge, but someone should have seen that we had the rate that included breakfast in the system and not charged us to begin with. Luckily, I caught it. I will say all the staff were polite and nice throughout our stay. Overall, not what I expected from a Hilton property on many fronts. I would not recommend this hotel.

For the amount of money one night was, they should really make it sparkle. I was a little disappointed in this location because it didn’t shine like all there Hiltons I stayed at. The greeting at checking in was 50/50. Mix signals from both. Like they didn’t like working together. That’s not how you want to be greeted. The hallways needs to be freshened up along with the rooms. I was not impressed and when checking out, I waited at least fifteen minutes to see someone at the counter. The lady who was attending the small breakfast area was more attentive to me than the missing person at the counter. Overall, this location needs a major reno and a larger more private dinning area.

I elected to stay here as a stopover on a 600+ mile trip and was delighted to find a clean, quiet indoor swimming pool in which to unwind. There was also a hot tub that I’d call a warm tub as it was not very not, but it and the pool were well-maintained and the water felt great.
The quiet, clean room was a typical straightforward Hilton room, with all the necessary amenities including a refrigerator with a small freezer, a crucial detail when traveling with food in a cooler.
This hotel is situated convenient to Winterthur, Longwood Gardens and the Brandywine River Museum.

This hotel has not changed policy since COVID, the room was fine but the staff is distant and uncaring, the breakfast is limited with everything in plastic packaging, no personal touch what-so-ever. Worse, Hilton's new policy on Gold and Platinum members getting a food allowance has not come here. The insisted on giving us a breakfast voucher however the server still charged us for breakfast and the hotel will not answer my requests for refund, in spite of three attempts. It is not big money but you might want to think twice about a hotel that is not keeping up with standards, made us wonder how the housekeeping was about preparing our room before we arrived. Everything they did with us personally was a mess.

The staff is courteous, efficient, and pleasant. Many thanks to Cody for making our check-in a breeze. The breakfast which was included in our room was delicious and hot. We tried the blueberry pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage and enjoyed it all. But I guess Paris has never stayed here. The hotel is in dire need of renovation. It was clean but so dingy that you couldn't see the clean. We were given a room with a handicap bathroom thought neither one appears handicapped. The hot water was lukewarm at best. The hand-held shower head in the shower had no means of turning it on so if this was truly a handicapped bathroom it wouldn't have worked for anyone who is handicapped. The TV didn't get all the channels but Cody was nice to explain why when we checked in. No fault of the hotel just the switch over of providers which Cody said they working on to make it right. The hotel was quiet enough. The towels were a little too scratchy for me. For an overnight we made it work because like I said the staff was just so very, very nice. We did have a little snafu checking out. The day time receptionist, though told we had breakfast included, charged me for breakfast. I'm glad I asked for a receipt before leaving the hotel so it could be corrected immediately.

Rooms overpriced. Breakfast not even included (not even continental breakfast). Prices are raised as the demand increases...gouging the customers. Had 'free' coffee in the lounge, but 2 of the large urns were empty.

We came to Longwood Gardens from MD for their beautiful Christmas displays and chose this hotel based on the positive reviews and close proximity to the gardens. We wanted a hotel close since we are traveling with our 2 year old who we know will be completely exhausted and wiped out by the end of the day. After a long (but fun) day at the gardens we arrived at the hotel and we’re informed that the elevators are out of service and we’d need to use the stairs at the very end of the hall. Took us 3 trips to haul all our luggage and bags with a tired toddler and pregnant momma in toe. Not offered anything to compensate for the inconvenience. Then we get to our room (junior suite-room 318) and the first thing I see when I open the door is a literal hole in the wall staring me in the face. Lovely. We enter the room and can immediately tell that this place needs serious help-water damage on ceiling, cracks on the wall, no working fan in bathroom, dirty bathroom floors, someone’s hair in the bed ( clearly not mine), damaged furniture, etc. The positive is that my toddler didn’t notice any of this and was happy to be on a fun trip with Mommy & Daddy, but I’m thoroughly disappointed. I can’t wait to return to longwood gardens but we won’t be staying here again.

We stayed at this hotel because we went to Longwood Garden to see the Fountain show which ends around 9:45 PM. Therefore, instead of driving back approximately 2 hours to Maryland, we decided to stay at this hotel after the show. It was the worst Hilton property we ever stayed. Wish we had done more research and booked in a better hotel. There are many more choices and better hotels in the area. Well, next time!

My last stay was in July 2015. I absolutely had no problem with the hotel or staff.
There are more places to choose from in the Kennett Square area.
