We booked two rooms. We visited with grandmothers and children. When we arrived, the first inclination should have been that the place was called Shank Farm and not the Stone Haus. When you open the front door the overwhelming smell of stale moldy air greeted us. We then proceeded to note the fifteen stairs to the second floor. Impossible to... More

We stayed from Thursday to Sunday . I fell in love with the room. Angie and Merv are great people and we felt like family. The animals were a lot of fun, and the place was spotless. The breakfasts were awesome and Angie and Merv worked together to make sure we were taken care of. We will be going back-... More

We rented two rooms for rooms for two nights with with my family of four and a friend. My teens enjoyed the animals. They have chickens and a few goats along with some very friendly cats and kittens. Which I think were the highlight fir everyone. They had two older kittens which were very friendly and playful and one cat... More

What a wonderful place to stay. The Shenks were the kindest, warmest hosts. This is not a pristine and elegant luxury B&B (to which I could never take my kids!). But it is clean and cozy, the beds comfortable, and the breakfast delicious. My kids were thrilled--they couldn't get over the fact that they were staying at a B&B! The... More

My husband found this wonderful B&B. We traveled with 2 teens and a friend of the family. The B&B had plenty of room. We were on the 3rd floor (no elevators so if you can't go up that many steps, do tell the owners so they can put you in the lower floors). The kids enjoyed the farm. The owners... More

Three adults and five grandsons aged 10-16 can attest that this was one of the best places to stay near Lancaster, PA! Finding anyplace with accommodations for a large group is difficult. But, we found this wonderful B&B on a farm, was more than accommodating and a lot of fun, too! We had two rooms, with a queen bed and... More

We spent two days at this farmhouse bed and breakfast, at first glance you think what did I get myself in to, but once inside you realize it's like being at home, the owners live there with their three children, you never even know they are there unless you need something, the grounds are nice and peaceful, conveniently located to... Our family of four enjoyed our short stay here. Kids loved the kittens and Katrina 's company. Good breakfast and we enjoyed Merv's hayride too! Like others have said accommodations are modest but clean so know that and you will have a nice family style stay.

We stayed for one night with our 2 children (5 & 9). We arrived late at night and were greeted in the parking lot by a friendly cat which my son fell in love with. We stayed in the room featured in the main picture above which had it's own private bath. Note that some rooms share a bathroom down... More

“Talk to the owners if you have trouble going up lots of steps. Some rooms are on 3rd floor and place has no elevator to get there. They do have rooms at a lower floor so you just have to talk to them and let them know. Rooms we stayed in have queen bed with two twin beds (sleeps 4 comfortably).”
