National Trail Motel is family-owned and operated right here in Markleysburg, PA. Since purchased 30+ years ago, we’ve treated every customer like they were a part of our family. Our rooms are on the small side, but they have all of the basic essentials, and come with a personal touch. Most importantly our rooms are CLEAN! Luella and Terry have recenlty taken over the family business from their parents and are currently doing some renovations. We are located 5-15 minutes of all local attractions in the Laurel Mountains, including but not limited to, Laurel Caverns, Nemacolin Woodlands, Fort Necessity, Braddocks Grave, Ohiopyle, Yough River, Roaring Knob Speedway, Nemacolin Shooting Academy, Kentuck Knob, and many more. July 2013 Lady Luck Casino will be opening 2.5 miles from our location.

I came in the dark on a rainy night, and left in the morning fog, so I can't really comment on the grounds or outward appearance. I was able to parallel park immediately outside my door, convenient for loading and unloading. I think some units...More

Passed this little motel by as we thought it looked a little run down but then couldn't find anywhere else to stay. So we turned around and checked in to this little place. What a nice surprise! The manager/owner was super friendly and our room...More

The room was very clean, furniture and accents were well kept. Very surprised to see quality towels, they must use fabric softener, not your typical hotel brand. Sheets were excellent, very soft (microfiber) perhaps. The only thing they didn't have was a hair dryer but...More

Excellent motel. Friendly staff. Very quiet and cozy. Owners are extremely accommodating. The grounds are immaculate and well manicured. Our room was like a studio apartment. I love this place and will DEFINITELY come stay for pleasure next time. 👍
