We booked out the entire venue and everybody absolutely loved Surfari. Apart from it's chilled and fun vibe it has not much in common with Backpackers accommodation that o stayed in before. The interior is very stylish, the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff and managers were extremely helpful and organized. Throughout the preparation for this Celebratory weekend I...

Surfari is a welcoming, friendly, clean and beautifully located posh backpackers. Ross gets the balance right between attentiveness and allowing people to do their own thing. The kitchen downstairs needs a bit of re-stocking (we couldn't find any braai tongs, for e.g.) but it is clean and well organised. It's always a challenge to share a kitchen with other guests...

By far the best backpackers I have ever stayed at. The views are amazing and the staff is friendly and professional. The communal kitchens are well equipped and a great way to meet other guests. We really enjoyed the trampoline!

This place is great, offers great views, sleeping quality was great and the location is awesome! The price you pay for what you get is worth every cent! I would definitely recommend this to any kind of travellers. I was traveling with friends this time, but having two small kids, I know that I could easily stay here with my...

The day before departing for our family weekend the owner contacted the booking agency to inform them they are unable to accommodate us because they had a double booking. The owner offered alternative accommodation - ensuring us it's of the same standard - which was very far from the truth. It was so sub standard that we left after the...

Unexpected surprise. Beautiful views and stunning interior. Love the communal space in different areas, levels and scenery. You can hide in your own private space or share the vibe of youngsters in one of the communal areas or more quiet visitors in other areas. Would be a stunning place to share as a family.

The place is very nice, stylish and cool, but make sure you have a car. The area is not served by public transportation or uber, and the only taxi company sucks. The rooms are clean but lacking of any commodity. Personnel is kind but not very prepared, only the manager is actually helpful. I went in high season expecting to...

Fantastic place to stay! Clean safe facilities, friendly staff, great view! The property overlooks the bay and is in walking distance if you are reasonably fit. They also arrange activities for you. Vic Bay itself is very picturesque and a surfer's paradise.

We had a very comfortable stay. The room was clean and neat. The bathroom was modern with a good layout. The sea view was amazing and refreshing. We only stayed one evening. We will definitely be back.

“Ask for the upstairs room as there are always beggars at night who will approach you if you sit on the lower stoep area. Also ask if possible to hire a garage for your vehicle as I had a break in into my vehicle with quite some damage to it.”
