It's hard to write a tough review considering that the staff was very professional and attentive. However, here goes:The rooms are spartan ( we had a deluxe room) Put another way, it is not the type of room that you want to relax in. Furthermore, there is no turndown service ( a big no-no for a relais&chareaux). The real problem lies with...

Yours is the second recent review that noted the lack of turndown service, which is contrary to our stated service. We will review this with housekeeping and put in place and additional review to make sure our turndown service is happening as it is supposed to. Our rooms are not large; we are in an historic building that is individually...

The hotel tried so hard and I've been cheering for them, but there were some misses. The bedtime cookies (with a story!) and wine by the fire outside were great touches. The presentation and innovation in the food ingredients was top-notch. However, the taste... and for that price... it just wasn't worth dining there. Forgettable at best, kind of a...

Sorry for being tardy in responding to this review. We appreciate the helpful and supportive nature of your comments, but I'm especially sorry we let you down. We did notice that problem in the floor and have gotten that corrected; the old plank floors in the hotel need occasional patches. We have been cleaning and replacing rugs in the rooms...

Hotel Fauchere is a Relais and Chateaux property in historic Milford, PA and certainly where you want to stay if you are going to that very attractive town near the Delaware River National Recreation Area. This is a sophisticated hotel with much that is positive. A few minor issues [because one expects superior service in a R&C] keep me from...

We made a reservation at the last minute, changing from an area chain, and we were very glad we did. The remodeled hotel has a very pleasant decor and the room was also modern and comfortable. Most of all, the staff was extremely gracious, responsive and made us feel at home. Thank you Hotel Fauchere!

I loved everything about this hotel, except for the fact that I couldn't stay longer. I loved sitting on the front porch, having a cocktail or enjoying a tasty breakfast. I loved working in the conservatory in the back. The marble bathroom was remarkable, parking easy, WiFi free, and service attentive.

We took advantage of the hotel's weekend package to getaway from NYC recently. The hotel stands out in this charming town, filled with historic buildings and beautiful old homes. The history of the hotel is impressive, but what impressed us most is the quality of service, comfort of the rooms and overall relaxing atmosphere that the hotel provides. The weekend...

We spent two nights here and enjoyed the quiet serenity of this small luxury hotel. There were comfortable common areas --- the large back room parlor overlooking the garden fountain where we read in the morning and the front porch rocking chairs where we enjoyed the evening breezes. We had lunch in the Bar Louis one day. The menu was...

Quality. That is the first thought that came to mind at Hotel Fauchere as I walked in the front door to register and check in. The place was originally built in 1852. I am not sure of the full history thereafter, but somewhere along the way, the renovation(s) turned it into an elegant fortress. Nothing squeaks. The 160 year old...

Lovely respite situated in an attractive manicured picturesque town. Old world almost European Service. Greeted us warmly. Smiles throughout our stay. A kindly upgrade to a lovely corner pretty room with large comfortable porch made it all that much more appealing. Simple but classsic room with fine amenities and quality furnishings. Lovely original floors throughout - rather comfortable bed with...

Hotel Fauchere hosted Cori and I on the 3rd night of a 4 day motorcycling tour for RoadRUNNER Motorcycle Touring and Travel magazine. We were greeted with a glass of wine and hot towels (cannot describe how nice that was after hours in a helmet in the heat). Our helmets and jackets were taken to our room for us and...

“We have stayed in this hotel on several occasions and decided to stay in the compact room (#1) to save money. It's really not much smaller than the standard/premium room. We were warned that this room was right over the bar kitchen. Fortunately we didn't hear any noise from the bar, unfortunately this room seems like it's right over the furnace or boiler room and a few times during the evening the furnace/boiler would come on and hum loudly for about 10-15 minutes. So be warned if you want to stay in this room. ”
