Wonderful Boutique Hotel. have stayed there every month for the last 6. Staff goes above and beyond. I just booked a block of 10 rooms for an upcoming business meeting with colleagues. Breakfast and parking is always included. Nicole, Michael, Demar and the entire staff are amazing. No request is impossible. This hotel is perfect for business or pleasure stays in Pittsburgh. Parking is safe and secure. Please do not be put off by comments about the neighborhood. Great restaurants and shops abound and downtown is a mere 5 minutes away. Rooms are immaculate and updated. The Monks Bar is incredible and the bar staff is so creative with their cocktails. Beds comfy and I can’t say enough about this hotel. It is a member of the iPrefer Program for loyalty as well. My husband said they have the best coffee he has had in years!…
The Priory is so charming! Its within easy walking distance of the Warhol Museum and PNC Park, as well as some nice restaurants on East Ohio Street and Max's Tavern. The staff were amazing, especially Mandy, who was incredibly friendly and helpful. I stayed in one of the single rooms, which was very comfortable and had everything I needed. The Monk Bar on site is also pretty great. Highly recommended.
ABOVE AND BEYOND! Anyone looking for a comfy, clean boutique hotel in Pittsburgh…… look no further! Staff willing to the “extra mile” , great for business travelers as well as families! Breakfast and Parking included! Beds are comfortable, many rooms updated. The Monks Bar is a treat and Michael, and staff are all exceptional. We just reserved a block of rooms for 4 nights for a Corporate Event in town. Parking is secure. Please do not let other reviews dissuade you! There are some excellent restaurants within walking distance including Max’s and some cute shops as well! Definitely one not to miss and the hotel is part of the iPrefer loyalty group!
Lovely hotel with charming fixtures. Really wonderful staff with the pick up breakfast as a bonus. I always felt safe there and well taken care of. This will definitely be "My Pittsburgh" home from now on! Thank you!
The kind of place that makes you choose a hotel over a stupid AirBnb. Cozy and hospitable, I love hotels over Airbnb especially for this. A town like Pittsburgh, if you are ever here I would suggest this place over any other. Loved the hospitality. location and minimal breakfast
I enjoyed my brief stay at The Priory. I arrived at the hotel near midnight on a Friday and was welcomed by the cheerful staff. My room was clean and appears to have been remodeled recently. The bathroom is small and the shower the size of a phone booth (if you know what that is :) ). It's an old building and has some creaks that come along with that; but, nothing too annoying and I slept through the night. My room overlooked the courtyard and I could hear the boisterous wedding party below. But, it was winter so they weren't outside in the cold too long. Yes, breakfast was in a bag; but, it tasted good and was ready when promised. The neighborhood is older and you will encounter those less fortunate than yourself; but, I never felt unsafe or bothered. There are two fenced in and well lit parking lots for guests. I'll gladly stay again on my next trip. I enjoyed the architecture of the hotel and neighborhood - not something often seen in my part of the country.…
The Priory is a truly unique hotel in Pittsburgh’s northside, close to the Pirates and Steelers fields, and a bridge away from downtown. The rooms are well-equipped, comfortable and fully updated from their historic origin. You feel the history as you walk the spaces, but never lack modern benefits. Monk’s Bar is manned by one of the most knowledgeable tenders in the city, who can share stories on any topic of interest. If you need more than the Northside offers (which includes German cuisine and local sports bars), you’re not far from downtown, the Southside, Mt Washington and The Incline, or the suburbs north of the city. The biggest surprise of the stay is the low rate. I’ll return to The Priory every time I’m in my hometown!
Outstanding boutique hotel filled with historic charm! We had an excellent stay and the staff took great care of us, including during a very late check in with two tired kids. The location is perfect, very close access to a number of points of interest in and around the city. The room was perfect, nice soft beds and pillows, everything clean and tidy. We particularly appreciated the efficient and economical breakfast option, as well as the intimate bar located just off the lobby. The hotel and adjacent church are excellently maintained and rich with history, and there is more than ample parking. Skip the small chain motels and corporate hotels lacking in character and instead treat yourself to a lovely family run boutique experience! Perfect for families and business travelers alike. Highly recommended!…
Wonderful property! Room quite clean and comfortable, appreciated the robes! Beautiful and relaxing internal private courtyard, Monk's Bar and bartender, Michael, a real joy! Nicole at the front desk was so very pleasant and professional!
Five stars for the hotel , 2 stars for the location. We had a lovely room. It was very clean. Free parking across the street outside in a small lot. This hotel was spotless and comfortable with a really nice enclosed courtyard for a glass of wine and a book. The small bar is delightful and the staff are attentive and friendly. The hotel is fabulous if you never want to walk around the neighborhood and use the car for every thing. I feel bad that this are of the historical section is becoming a home for homeless. The nearby park is not a park you would visit or take a walk in. The neighborhood is fighting encroaching seediness and it is a shame that this little gem is in this situation but the area was not desirable.
